Well I have a few. 1) 3 link / screw coupled rakes of coaches when they should have buckeyes, why bother? Might as well have tension locks. 2) Mark 2 DBSO conversions where thet leave it as a Mark2D but the real ones are Mark2F, not a lot of work to fix, but people STILL do not do it. OK lets hear yours.

I wonder which one is doing all of the work? BTW I know the 50s can pull well, seen one pull a Peak along woth brakes on, seen lots pull a 15 coach sleeper out of Plymouth

No idea where my set is (may be garage, sitting room or bed room), but mainly Airfix stil running Airfix wheels, all numbered off real ones I have seen so have the correct MCV or MXV brakes. All in tatty bauxite and correct brake gear

I have a few HST power car original livery - stills looks superb. Hymek & Western very styled 50 not pretty but I love the look of them Hall & Castle look "right" so does double chimney 9F in lined green, Peppercorn had styling sorted as well. Lots of older locos were just elegant.

I have a Raveningham Hall in a wooden box, not a brilliant runner, front bogie comes off the track occasionally

I have a D8568 in green off Ebay, haven't ran it yet as DCC needs removing, but is it likely to be OK or faulty? If faulty how easy to repair?

Late 70s seen 31/4s and used them. Was on one train and due to rail works had to go by road coach. I was going there for a few months and part of my luggage was a motorcycle. I beat the coach to the next station! That was a 33 on the front. -

Coming here from the signal box thread. The more into Warhammer son, has the video game as well, this has a very broad gauge train on it, it is a forge world and I'd say the train was about 30 to 50 foot wide. -

I used mine to go spotting!!!! Also it was Mod revial time to used to pick on scooters as well, for some reason non of the spotters liked scooters, quite a few liked bikes.

There is something about the early diesels that makes me want them. Recently obtained a 17 (D8568), trying to get a cheap 15 (D8233), I really want a 16 even though it is not suitable, a 22 and 29 (would be D6122), and NBL Warship (D601). And I model early 80s!!!!

Cut the coupling off, recess the other end of the bogie and fit about 5mm in. Alradite works. I have now been using smaller couplings, similar in size to the old Mainline ones, but every Lima B4 I have has been modified
