Now onto the Mark 2 rebuild, decided to take the side to smooth, my 0.5mm drill snapped drilling some handrail holes The tatty TH mark 2 shell Damage to side so may as well use this one First go at removing detail. Filled it a few messy bits When finished I will repair the roof strip then do the following Scribe the door lines Thin strip for the door edges see the O one done by Penguin Door hinges, will use MJT Redo the door steps Redrill the door handle holes Remove and drill holes for handrails on the end Found some roof vents on MJT which look suitable Then it will wait for the window etches.

Found some interior shots I have downloaded for my own information, the contact button did not work or I would have chatted with them Currently fitting tables to E1883, pictures up later Next projects will be a rebuild to a Triang Hornby Mark 2 TSO be become a 2A, same with a Lima 2B TSO, but stay 2B, an Airfix 2D BFK out of an FO and a BSO. Other possibles are a 2C BSO if I can get some more cheap Limas. Now the Mark 2s You cannot find Bachmann TSOs for love nor money, but I have a number of the old Triang Hornby ones (between 4 and 6) and 2 of the later chrome window Hornbys. I will be test rebuilding 1 shell to see how it goes, will again up some piccies later.

Best paint match for BR carmine and cream
MJI replied to Frappington Jct's topic in Modelling Questions, Help and Tips
Precision aerosols are useless.Do not bother. I would say waste of money. So I gave up trying now only paint in nice weather with an airbrush in the garage using Precision paints and their quick air drying thinners. -
Fictitious liveries - models, not Photoshopped!

Only seen pics in green before so yes a blue 70 would look interesting. I think we need to try to pursuade Colin to do one. -

Seen pictures of 70s in green. Well they were originally -
New boxes and replacement trusses They can now sit down Corridor side Kitchen side Latest state of interior I am now getting some serious lack of information now, I know the insides of the end walls are wood, I THINK the partitiions are light wood. I am guessing at grey walls and stuff inside say something lighter than Humbrol 64. But I need the colours of the table tops, the seat colours and any interior details of the bar area.

Been a busy weekend playing with cars, I have a new one after a non fault RTA last year, and I am slowly getting it up to spec. So after removing the EGR I replaced the front discs and pads, and found some wheel nuts at 500Nm. After a test drive it was back to E1883 Bar area coming along First coat of paint The start of more underframeboxes Please note the white haze in the kitchen - those are superglue fumes. Looks like epoxy for table fitting now!

I had another go and pulled the cup off the shaft then did the rest by removing the motor

Cannot reassemble mine. Removed a bogie and I cannot get the swivel mechanism back together. The circle thing around the prop shaft will not fit back to the bogie. HELP!! The problems with mine were 1) DCC chip 2) Insulation tape against a flywheel 3) Prop shaft fell out 1 & 2 now OK but cannot get that bogie refitted

Trying to create less threads I am going to post into one. I have 4 modelling locations, usually dining room as I can use the computer and see the TV. My current jobs are completing a DC Kits 128 and my Bar Car E1883 I am 80% through the Bar Car, I will take a picture tomorrow and upload it. Currently doing the insides, I made a load of seats and it is not too bad. This is it before I stripped and resprayed.
