  1. I have a dodgy knee, from a bike accident 30 years ago, went flying over a bonnet, my left knee took most of the force, not sure what is wrong, but having an auto car helps a lot.
  2. Nothing wrong with the odd drink, and a bit of TV but taking it to extremes, no. As I said to Sue a few days ago, when I retire I will have the time to do all of my hobbies. 16 or 17 years to go What a lovely story

I think this is a lovely model and I need one
  4. Lapsed now but was from 1981 to about 5 years ago when was financially in the mire, and memberships of things took last place to food and mortgage, got hit by credit card companies calling in while I was sorting a loan. Oh and I first saw it at Dowty Ashchurch in the late 70s.
  5. It was at Toddington for a few years
  6. That is W51368 the DMBS from B430.
  7. Still £125 for the one I want (and seen the real one of)
  8. I used to get annoyed at the lack of recognition of Eddie Van Halen on this record
  9. Well how about this. I have ridden a bike inside a BG. It was too heavy with all my stuff piled on top, so I fired it up and rode up the ramp. With an expansion pipe exhaust - ie noisy, mind you it was also ported and was putting out about 15bhp up from 12. And once I rode along the underpass at Plymouth station, with lots of luggage piled on the top. Again too heavy to push. It is possible a random member here might now know who I am from this.
  10. VERY You need Mark 3 coaches - they look totally different

    That music is irritating!
  12. Read the Peter Smith Mendips Enginemen books. He saw Halls on holiday trains being extremely sure footed
  13. Hmm 8 x 2D/E TSO, 2 x FO, 1 BSO and a FO and BSO to become a BFK and of course my Lima 2F
  14. I have never understood the worship Black 5s got, what did it have over a Hall. Even the S&D engine men were impressed by Halls. Same with 8Fs and 28xxs
  15. Are the extreme etching window frames worth while?
  16. They are different vehicles so no duplication, these replace the old Lima vehicles. I will get some. And they will be running with Airfix 2Ds & 2Es, various buffets in mixed sets (like the real trains). Behind
  17. I just about remember seing it at Hereford when I was young, along with Flying Scotsman. I had a ride behind it. I like the Castles. 7029 for main line haulage and a VERY SHORT cab ride at Horton Road. 5080 for visiting the GWR with City of Truro, 6106 and 7752.
  18. Actually sticking to BBC HD and BBC 1 HD there are still some decent ones
  19. Hmm hobby costs I wanted to try motorsport - well too much money - didn't get past the booklet. Also too many mods required for car below. Car modification, 22 years ago, cam, twin carbs, rally exhaust, wide wheels, forest springs, forest shocks, rolling road setup, on a 15 or so year old Sunbeam. Also I did raid the scrap yards for better trim parts. Current car, well I have put Xenon headlamps on it, stiffer springs, air shocks, better hifi, lumpier cams (4). How about home cinema, well I just HAVE to have things so was the first person I know to get DVD player £500 (I skipped Vhs), widescreen flatscreen digital TV £1400 - used for 10 years, AV receiver £500, speakers, total cost about £800 bought over quite a few years, of course I HAD to go Blu Ray and with liking games that meant PS3 (near £400), then a HDTV (£1700). I spent £800 on a Beta VCR! That said TVs are used until worn out, DVD player wore out, amp still in use, speakers still in use, current car had over 7 years, I buy as future proof as possible, and use until worn out. Only hd 3 video cameras in 25 years. I just don't like cheap TVs, not when I can see a better one making me want it, I bought the current one on picture quality! Quite a few people would know who I am from this. BTW I have too much model railway stuff as well! Good job I don't like football!
  20. And my favourite hot hatch between
  21. If I was bothered I would fit a discrete auto coupler of some form, but I just don't like screw couplings on buckeye stock
  22. I find screw couple pullman gangwayed coaches just as wrong as tension locks, Kaydees are nearest I know of
