    We've updated and improved our small Engine shed. Based on Thaxted, Essex this is a great shed for a small layout. Features Lift off base that can be permanently fixed to the layout. Opening doors with laser cut hinges. Acrylic Glazing Slate roof Engraved reveals and interior.

    Update finished. I'll add some plasticard hinge detail to hide the working door hinges. I may glue on slates but as this is demo model I don't think it needs it.

    Filled the engraved lettering above with white wood filler. One dry I lightly sanded back.

    This weekend, with just this; and my CAD and Laser I created this. Just barge boards and slates then off to the paint shop.

    I've had a silhouette for a few months but I've been sitting on the sidelines while I concentrated on the laser. But prompted by a friends efforts I've dug it out this evening and my first item cutout is below. Can you guess what it is??

    My defence, the track is a newer installation and the ballast bin uses old available sleepers of the GCR pattern. I think I got away with that.. The track is a display stand for my locomotives. I really do need to make a photo plank but you are correct, the chairs are regular C+L. I'm not sure 4 bolt chairs are available in 7mm?

    To go with the Platelayers hut, a sleeper built ballast bin.

    GCR Platelayers Hut now completed. Detail includes fully hinged opening door. I'll post how this is achieved later.
