    Arranging to replace a pair of expensive tyres that have worn quickly. Told by tyre supplier that a second set of tyres never lasts as long as the factory original set! Don't think I agree, what do others think?

      That sounds like carp to me!!!

      If they are the same make and compound/size/etc, then they should wear the same.

      Make sure the pressures are correct for your car/driving type and also have the tracking/geometry checked as these are the more likely things that would wear tyres out sooner.

      He may be refering to Malcom Wilson's M-Sport Rally team/business and maybe the Ford 2.0l Eco Boost engine out of the rally Fiesta. I agree too, Eco with 600bhp?????

    So, the boss of Amazon is the richest man in history... Doesn't bother me but could it be that his company tries it's best to avoid paying tax in every country in the world, no wonder our high street shops are closing and people put out of work.

    Road tax refunds. Does it happen automatically when you notify the DVLA of change of ownership? Their website is frustratingly ambiguous on the subject.

      Make sure you both retain the V5, duly filled in with the new owner's details, date of the change and signed at the bottom. Then send it off yourself. Give the new owner the V5C2 (Green slip) so he/she can tax the vehicle and once DVLA receive the change of ownership (V5) you should automatically receive a refund of any unused months.

    Just been announced, Malcolm Young of the rock band AC-DC has passed away in a nursing home in Sydney. Born 1953 he was suffering from dementia.

    Had to shut our garage today at 2.00pm, a couple underside canopy sheets came off in the high winds, I have another 4 or 5 hanging on for dear life, modelling mojo crushed for tonight .... thanks Ophelia ya' b#tch !!
