  1. Hey Peter, I'm glad that you've had some positive time with the layout, saves Muddys coming with his Stihl saw, they are pretty evil things. I might still call over, if only for a brain pick on track construction Jinty ;-)
  2. Lovely flowing platforms there, this looks great as a whole picture I agree with the use of all sorts of things to make scenery, it's amazing how resourceful we are as modellers!!!! Jinty ;-)
  3. Like the breakdown crane with the bogie bolster as match truck, and that last picture of the RF class 85 at a low angle is brilliant. Jinty ;-)
  4. We won't have to, Minnie mouse will, after being buried with foam or polystyrene!!! Looking good though, I do like that 40 :locomotive: Jinty ;-)
  5. Fast work here!!!!!!! Looking really good, just wait till that ballast is down!!!! Jinty ;-)
  6. I thought the ingots from AA were transported in opens????? I'll have a scout through my books Jinty ;-)
  7. All looking great, after 6 months, I wish mine had progressed to that stage in 6 months. Nice UKF vans, and silo's but that warehouse is just superb!!!! At your rate, you should have it done easily by the booking!!!! Jinty ;-)
  8. Lovely Peter, Class 25, 2 x PCA's, 3 x Vee's and an OCA I'm going to have to find some more 80's photos, if only to give you a challenge!!!!!!! Seriously though, quality modelling, from the ground up!!! Jinty ;-)
  9. Nice video David, it just shows how your attention to detail pays off, as a video of a model, it just looks so authentic!!!!! I've blasted mine with Halfords grey primer all over, and I was thinking of leaving the inside that colour. Jinty ;-)
  10. Hi Peter, Very nice layout, as are just about all of them!!! Impressive bridges there, this looks great, especially with the details such as the power station turbine house set into the side of the hill. Brilliant!!! Cobalts???????? Yes I have found them to be a touch tempremental. I had a problem with one of my Cobalts and a sound loco!!!! I have a class 47 with Biffo sound, Loksound V4.0, and when I set the compressor function (F7) on, just the one point changed, when I turned it off, the point changed back!!!!!! I use a Lenz Set100 with a Lenz 5amp Transformer. I solved the problem by splitting the power bus into 2, one for the track circuit, and one for the points/accessories. DCC Concepts have just updated the Cobalts with the new Cobalt IP, here: http://www.dccconcepts.com/catalogue/a/Point-Motors-Cobalt-iP-Digital So hopefully they will be somewhat more reliable. One thing I will say, yes a few Cobalts have been found faulty, but the warranty, and no quibble guarantee of their stuff, give me confidence!!! I would certainly split your power bus. Great work again. Jinty ;-)
  11. The last one does it for me. Never mind that there is no backscene, the flow of the handbuilt track, the mixed stock train, the loco tender first, the spread of the yard tracks, and that delightful muddy twin cart/tractor track on the left behind the fence, there is no 'Stunning' button Jinty ;-)
  12. I quite like this one too.......... And still in colour for Jaz JInty
  13. Well it'd be shameful not to post mine in colour............ I actually prefer the B&W Jinty ;-)
  14. Not sure if this is ok for here, but here goes........................ 37431 light engine........ Jinty ;-)
  15. Looking good. I've just primed my little one up today, hopefully start painting tomorrow. I just hope it looks as good as that!!!! JInty ;-)
  16. I thought '74 seemed a bit early, but I wasn't going to question what was in print!!!!! Thanks again Coachman Jinty ;-)
  17. Always loved those Scammell's, they always looked tough and purposeful!! You've made a good job out of this one, trailer is awesome too, as it's scratch built!!! Jinty ;-)
  18. Hi Peter, Going back to the PCA (cement wagons) part of the thread, where it was asked about cement traffic along the coast. A little before your period, but I have come across a photograph of 25072 with what looks like 2 x PCA's, 3 x Depressed Vee's and what looks like a Dept' wagon on the end. I've requested and received the relevant permissions from the Photographer to reproduce it here. Scanned from RAIL magazine March 1988, page 17. Photographed by L. Goddard I hope it comes out clear enough. The description states that the movement originated from Llandudno Junction. I wonder what service this was? Jinty ;-)
  19. As usual Peter, your weathering is awesome, I've seen quite a few pictures of 33's in NW and it certainly looks the part. Jinty ;-)
  20. Love the 128, that livery does suit them Tempted......... Tempted....... :nono: Maybe next month!!!!!! Coming on great, I like the 20's and 47 stabled together Jinty ;-)
  21. That's a very nice Whistler' you have there.......... Great looking plan for the layout too, nice and simple, but with quite a lot of operational possibilities. I like the idea of 'Set back' on the way to the depot, for more important stock to pass Keep it going.. Jinty ;-)
  22. They clog up really easy!!!! I found an overnight soak in white spirit can unclog them. Jinty ;-)
