  1. Good news about the possibility of stone traffic returning to the coast. How come the Llandudno sidings are being put back into use? Have I missed something? Jinty ;-)
  2. Thanks David, I wasn't being critical of the kit, as by the very nature of the material used, it will form a bow very easily. I was just enquiring if you felt the need to add aditional support inside the main structure. The components for the 'Medium' box showed a slight bow out of the box, but after assembly they'd pulled straight. Jity ;-)
  3. Evening David, Your signal box it looking superb, I just hope mine turns out half as good. Question: How did you find the main walls for bowing? Did you feel the need to add additional support/bracing? Both my medium box and the large box, appear to have a slight bow in the components alone, but there is no bow and no added support in the medium box that I've built. Once again, excellent work Jinty ;-)
  4. I bet you need to increase the search radius, if you've searched an 8' radius, I bet the part is 8' 1" away!!!!! ;-) Jinty ;-)
  5. Embarrassingly for me, it's usually the Mrs who spots the simple solution!!!!! No, I won't say it...... Jinty ;-)
  6. Nice blend of colours there, it creates a nice transition from the layout area to the backscene. Great work Jinty ;-)
  7. Nice work, yes, it is sometimes the simplest solution to a problem that is best, it's just the simple solutions are usually the hardest to find!!!!!! Jinty ;-)
  8. Nice, I'd like a blue on at some point, but I'm extremely short of type 5 power, so they're first!!! A good variety of stock there for you now. This period gave up some interesting variations on liveries as well. Pictures when it arrives please Jinty ;-)
  9. The bushes have come out well, I like the fencing too!!!!!! Those 2 yellow boxes look great as well Great work Jinty ;-)
  10. You're getting as bad as me!!!!!!! What is it then, a 128??????? Jinty ;-)
  11. I don't know if people want the blow by blow photos Yes please, I'm going to be constructing the Scalescenes warehouse, and modifying it to suit a corner. I like the idea for balsa as a medium instead of the card. I'm about half way through their depot kit and the card cutting can be a bit laborious to say the least. You seem to be making great progress. I love the plan and the whole idea, I will watch with interest. Jinty ;-)
  12. The rust effects on picture 5, under the nose grilles, looks most effective, although I'd worry that the grills would actually fall out before long!!!!!! Jinty ;-)
  13. How was I not following this layout, I am now!!!!! Great work on the shed frontage, a good way to disguise things, excellently undertaken. Shame about the coupling bits. Otherwise a nice rake. Jinty ;-)
  14. Great video Richard, as are all of them. As for the river scene, you could just have a stream, a trickle, from a couple of outlet pipes the other side of the bridge, plenty of greenery in the basin, but the basin being there for a purpose, that is, to accommodate any heavy discharge of water, ie: from a lake/power station further up the mountain, etc. Just an idea!!! Keep up the great work, and easy listening commentary. Jinty ;-)
  15. Totally agree, superb attention to detail. I just can't wait for more....... Jinty ;-)
  16. Now that has to mean a video is required Jinty ;-)
  17. Very nice Peter, it somehow struck me that it wasn't the Hornby body, hence the question. I've got to say, the Lima bodies were pretty good for their day!!! Thanks for the info and pictures Jinty ;-)

I just wish I could get my head around Templot!!!!!! I've got a spare wall in the garage, some wood and a yearning to make my own track?????? (it's probably an age thing!!!) Jinty ;-)

Hi Andrew, I'm pretty sure they do templates, a quick call to Marc Weaver would enlighten you. I'm also certain they would complete certain track configurations from a printed plan such as Templot, their prices? Well I can't answer that one I'm afraid, but a call or email to Marc should answer your questions. Jinty ;-)
  20. Hi Peter, What's the heritage of this 31 you put a picture of on Kinsley Colliery layout thread? I think it looks the dogs do dahs!!!! Jinty ;-)
  21. That TTG 86 looks the biz!!!! Like the R/F 08 and the slug too. altogether a nice fleet of locos Jinty ;-)
  22. Should be quite full with that little lot!!!!! I'm going to do a Slug, 37902, it'll just be a bit further down the line as there is so much before it!!!!! Jinty ;-)
  23. Well thought out trackplan that, lots of operational interest and shunting Should look superb with the OHE in place as well. Jinty ;-)
  24. More roadworks!!!!!!!!! Nice little details yet again Jinty ;-)
  25. Hi David, Nice videos. But you've shed a small yellow hand wheel off one of your Polybulks, sitting in between the track before the train starts moving in the first video!!!!! I've fixed all mine on as they kept falling off The wheels that is................ Jinty ;-)
