  1. well, i have a OO terrier, which was one of the first OO released in the GWR button livery way back when by Dapol i had started to modify the shell to ex IOW it, but Dapol bought out the O gauge version, so i have abandoned my Terrier, in pieces, and have a nice collection of 4 O gauge ones. However, should decent new versions come out in OO, then i would snaffle them up. I love Terriers
  2. I really hope they get the front right. If they do, I’m in for at least one
  3. I am an Imperial Sandtrooper in the Desert Scorpion Garrison of the 501st Legion
  4. Well, I was a little worried, given issues by others, but today I gave my H class a little run. It purred along lovely
  5. I have crimson, and think they look great in the livery. I won’t be buying others, too expensive
  6. Hither Green yards had wires, as did Hoo Junction, so quite feasible that those H class running out to grain would be in the proximity of wires if they dropped into Hoo
  7. But of note, they are not willing to send you replacements until Heljan are able to supply replacements, but they are still listing the models for sale. I suspect it’s easier for Hattons to refund you than to check locos work before shipping you replacements
  8. What was the running quality issue? I’m now worried, as mine is at home (in one piece) having arrived a month ago, but I have not made it back yet to test it, and being in Australia don’t fancy sending it back
  9. So Dougal, are those newspapers small or far away?
  10. [quote name="CME and Bottlewasher" post=" I had heard that a.n.other was entering the market with RTR MK1s in 7mm?? * Seen a flyer for lionheart MK1s
  11. Well, that’s 2 H class in western Oz, with another to follow when the push pull set is released
  12. Start by just taking the body off. It won’t invalidate the warranty. If it then runs free, then the issue is binding in the body. If it is still tight it is a mechanism problem. Then take it from there. At least identify which area the problem exists to start with.
  13. Could be worth taking the body off and trying it. There has been a report of the flywheel rubbing inside the body
  14. There are 2 sizes of logos, the locomotive class depended on what got fitted. The 60 had the larger size
  15. I can’t see why it would be a white elephant. Compared to others they have produced, this is an excellent product
  16. Well, now I have jumped in, as Hattons have reduced the tugs price. I hope it survives the trip to Australia in the post reading back through about damaged shell. I have a couple of specific detailing questions and a couple of others I am modelling Steadfast 001 in the condition it arrived on the Southern in, delivered. What date did 001 arrive at Hither Green? Did it arrive on the Southern with grey ploughs? When did the twin exhausts get removed and standard exhaust get fitted? What is this vent on the roof that wasn’t there when new? And when did this vent get fitted? Thanks all
  17. I can’t find one, which is why I was asking. Someone may have something in a photo album or a link to a picture not quickly identified by google etc
  18. Hey guys, I might have missed a post, but I notice the smokebox is entirely devoid of rivets. Is that correct as all photos I have found on the web back to southern livery, shows them with riveted construction
  19. i take it from that photo, that then new Pullmans are indeed a different shade to the previous releases or is it the light?
  20. going with LLC log. hopefully at least, it won't get split gears
  21. A train pack is always better value, and my understanding of push pull sets, is they are not the right version for the SE lines A train pack is always better value, and my understanding of push pull sets, is they are not the right version for the SE lines
  22. well very disappointed received an email from hattons saying the H class is no longer being issued with a push pull set in a train pack order cancelled
  23. well, bringing this thread back on topic, i have just pre ordered the push pull set from Hattons
  24. is the stack not a bit on the tall side? elf and safety and all that. a stack that tall would be a bit unstable, and you wouldn't want the landing on your feet whenever i saw them stacked against a wall where i worked, you'd have a row of blocks the same way, then the next level would all lay the other, and we only laid them about 5 high from memory
