  1. Some video footage from the London Bus Museum's 2023 Spring Gathering. I've broken it down into short, bite sized, instalments for the benefit of those that haven't got the time to sit through 20 minutes or more in one go: Hope they're of interest. TTFN, Ron.
  2. Three more short clips from the Welsh Highland Railway Centenary celebrations: Hope that they're of interest. TTFN, Ron.
  3. Two more short videos from the Welsh Highland Railway 100 Gala: Lots more in the queue for editing... TTFN, Ron.
  4. Afternoon All, The WHR opened through to Portmadoc and connected to the Festiniog (only one F in those days) Railway in June, 1923. So the present day Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railways had a WHR 100 centenary celebration gala over the weekend 23rd to 25th June, 2023. I took loads of video footage but, so far, I've only had time to add one short video to my YouTube channel. It's here if anyone would like to see it: The rest will appear in the fullness of time... TTFN, Ron.
  5. Afternoon All, I went to the 2023 Steam Festival at Hollycombe last Saturday and this is Part 1 of the video footage that I shot there: Hope you like it. TTFN, Ron.
  6. Afternoon All, I went to Hollycombe last Saturday and amongst the video I shot there is this clip of Quarry Hunslet GERRY M on the 1 in 35 gradient of the Quarry Railway: Hope you like it. TTFN, Ron.
  7. Are you referring to my pictures from 2019, or the gala last weekend? In 2019 I only took stills, but on Saturday I was taking videos. I've started on the editing process and the first four instalments are now on my YouTube channel. It certainly was a splendid event, especially the parallel run with two steam locos. That's the first time that that was possible on the RLR! For the benefit of anybody else that might see this thread, the 12 inch gauge Ruislip Lido Railway held a gala over last weekend which featured not one, but two, steam locomotives. They had their own 2-4-0ST+T MAD BESS which has just had a major overhaul, plus a visiting 2-6-2T called CHRISTOPHER which is based at the Littlehampton Miniature Railway. MAD BESS is a scaled down version of the Ffestiniog Railway's ex Penrhyn Quarry Railway BLANCHE. Best of all, there was a parallel run using both these engines: Here are three more short videos on YouTube: More episodes to be added as time allows... TTFN, Ron.
  8. I went to the Mid-Hants Spring Gala last Sunday and the first three instalments of my video footage are now on YouTube. Here are the links if you'd like to have a look: Hope they're of interest. TTFN, Ron.
  9. A few short videos shot at Horsted Keynes during the Branch Line Weekend: I hope that they're of interest. Lots more to follow as time permits... TTFN, Ron.
  10. Part 2 of my footage from the London Bus Museum 2023 Spring Gathering is now on YouTube: Ron.
  11. Afternoon All, The London Bus Museum held their annual Spring Gathering on Sunday, 16th April and as I haven't been for several years I decided to go along. I took some video footage while I was there and Part One is now on YouTube; here's the link if anyone would like to have a look: Hope it's of interest. TTFN, Ron.

  15. Evening All, I have finally got round to editing the penultimate part of the video footage that I shot on the RH&DR in October, 2021. So come with me on a high speed run on a non-stop train comprising 22 carriages hauled by seven steam engines; this episode runs from Dungeness to New Romney, where it comes to a rather abrupt stop: Hope you like it. If you missed any of the previous episodes, there is a link to the complete playlist under the video and at the end of the video. TTFN, Ron.
  16. Following on from the above, here is the video shot from the train between St. Moritz and Celerina, plus an Re 4/4 II arriving at Landquart: Hope it's of interest. Tschüß! Ron.
  17. Evening All, A trip on the Bluebell behind 73082 CAMELOT: Hope you like 'em. TTFN, Ron.
  18. Evening All, The latest addition to my YouTube channel is a video I shot on the Swiss Rhätische Bahn twenty years ago this month. It covers the journey from Pontresina to St. Moritz followed by some shots of trains at St. Moritz station. Hope you like it: TTFN, Ron.
  19. The rest of my footage from Didcot on Saturday is now on YouTube. It's broken down into short clips which I hope makes for easier viewing: https://www.youtube.com/@ronfisher2-railwaytravelvideos/videos TTFN, Ron.
  20. Part 2 of the footage shot at the Didcot Railway Centre featuring the four Castles line up (and 'Large Prairie' 2-6-2T 4144) can now be seen on YouTube: Hope you like it. TTFN, Ron.
  21. The first part of my footage shot at Didcot Loco Shed showing the four Castles lined up in a row is also now on YouTube if anyone would like to have a look: Further episodes to follow as time allows. TTFN, Ron.
  22. Several video makers on YouTube like trying to spot themselves on other people's videos at gala days and when special trains come through. I often get other folk telling me that they've seen themselves on my videos and of course, I've spotted myself from time to time on other people's films.
  23. I'm told it was doing 65 mph, but it seemed faster than that from the platform!
  24. Afternoon All, I too was out and about to see the special train from Birmingham to the Didcot Railway Centre using two Castles double heading. This was quite a sight and I went to Oxford and Banbury to see the train on its return run back to Birmingham. South of Oxford, the train was delayed by a P.W. slack so it was really thrashing through Oxford as it made up the lost time. I captured this on video, along with a spirited departure from Banbury and this now on my YouTube channel. The footage from Didcot, where the two Castles were lined up with Didcot's own two Castles, will have to wait until I've got more time, but in the meantime, here's the footage from Oxford and Banbury: TTFN, Ron.
  25. If anyone would like to have a look, there's a couple of videos of this train at Guildford on my YouTube channel: Hope they're of interest. TTFN, Ron.
