  1. Afternoon All, To help pass the dull days of winter and remind us of summer, here are a couple more videos of fun on the beach. They were also shot during our visit to Yaverland Beach on the Isle of Wight where the people next to us had a lovely black dog that just loved fetching a lump of driftwood that the owner threw into the waves for him. He also loved his owner's paddle board, but as you will see, staying on the things isn't as easy as some people make it look! Hope they're of interest. TTFN, Ron.
  2. Afternoon All, Two more short video clips from Tanybwlch are now on YouTube if anyone would like to see them: Hope they're of interest. TTFN, Ron.
  3. Evening All, I shot a few feet of video at Tanybwlch when I was there in August and the first two instalments have now been edited and uploaded to YouTube. Here are the links if anyone would like to have a look: Hope they're of interest. TTFN, Ron.
  4. Afternoon All, The Black 5 on Tuesday was just the warm up act; we had one of Stanier's magnificent Pacifics on Saturday. So despite the sub-zero temperatures, I was out with my cameras: Hope you like the results. TTFN, Ron.
  5. Afternoon All, The Railway Touring Company ran a charter train to Sherborne for a carol concert on Tuesday and Stanier 'Black 5' 4-6-0 44871 was at the business end of the train. I saw it racing through Farnborough on the down run and then at Fleet on the up train. It took water at Fleet and can then be heard for quite a while as it accelorated into the night. Here's what I saw - and heard: TTFN, Ron.
  6. Another episode from the Seaton Tramway: TTFN, Ron.
  7. Evening All, Part Two of my archive video from 1998 is now on YouTube if anyone would like to have a look: Hope it's of interest. TTFN, Ron.
  8. Morning All, Another archive Swiss railway video that I've put on YouTube; it shows the narrow gauge trains at Brig in 1998, so before the MGB merger and when through trains had to reverse as it was still a terminal station. I've split the video into two short instalments to make viewing easier and this is part one; part two will follow shortly: Hope you like it. Tschüß! Ron.
  9. Afternoon All, Just to make a change from trains and railways, I had a day out last month at Bletchley Park in Buckinghamshire. During World War II, this was the HQ of a crack team of highly skilled and clever people who were able crack and read the coded messages created by the German Enigma and other coding machines. It is said that this played a major role in the Allied victory, shortened the war by around two years and saved countless lives. It was a highly classified top secret location during the war and for many years afterwards, but it is no longer a secret and has been turned into a fascinating museum open to the public. If anyone would like to have a look, here are the photos I took during my visit: https://www.flickr.com/photos/train-pix/albums/72177720303054565 Hope they're of interest. TTFN, Ron.

On my visit earlier this year there was a Routemaster on this duty and I took a bit of video of it: Hope it's of interest. TTFN, Ron.
  15. Evening All, Earlier this year I had a couple of trips up to London and during one of them I spent half an hour filming trains at Royal Oak.
