  1. You MUST use headlights when you cannot see for more than 100 metres (328 feet). You may also use front or rear fog lights but you MUST switch them off when visibility improves

Cars should be wired so that it is impossible to drive with just sidelights on.

I think "side lights" should be renamed "parking lights".

Any more idiotic sweeping statements you'd like to make Barry O?

  2. You MUST use headlights when visibility is seriously reduced, generally when you cannot see for more than 100 metres (328 feet). You may also use front or rear fog lights but you MUST switch them off when visibility improves

  11. Driving with fog lights on when not needed DOES NOT make you or your car look cool.

Driving with no "high intensity" lights on in poor visibility DOES make your car difficult to see!

You MUST use headlights when visibility is seriously reduced, generally when you cannot see for more than 100 metres (328 feet). You may also use front or rear fog lights but you MUST switch them off when visibility improves (see Rule 236). Law RVLR regs 25 & 27

and the referenced rule (236) - same source...........

You MUST NOT use front or rear fog lights unless visibility is seriously reduced (see Rule 226) as they dazzle other road users and can obscure your brake lights. You MUST switch them off when visibility improves.

My statement 'when not needed' assumed, perhaps rashly, familiarity with these rules.

Not enough Layouts for my liking, has been alot better in past years. ( regarding " Mamma don't let your babies grow up to be Cowboys" it was lurking in my record collection so I guess that counted ???)

  13. Thinks that the ability to count should be included as part of the driving test. That way drivers would recognise that there are 3 lanes to a motorway AND that the SPEED LIMIT is 70mph.#
