Always remember that doing a print screen with the keyboard is that you get the WHOLE screen in paint. So be very careful there is nothing showing that you do not want others to see. If in doubt paint it out

Oh dear, seems that flip flop of yours is a bit flippy floppy and needs a bit of TLC. Shame you don't live nearer so I could sort it for you. Not being funny, I could do it remotely but not sure if you're up to it.

When you look at this post. Press the Prt Scr Key only Open Word Press the Paste icon You now see what was on the screen when you read the post. That is the basics. If you did the same but opened Paint instead then you get more options like adding text, boxes, circles etc. The other free software I mentioned does far more, you can capture part of a screen and add text and draw on your capture all in the one program.

Best to use screen capture. There are plenty of free software programs that will do that. Heres just one of them http://tinytake.com/

I know you have only drawn rough lines on the plan, but when you do the front edge of the baseboard, curve it, it always looks so much better.

That photo is so lifelike. On Sundays in the late fifties my dad used to take me to Pickworth Road at Essendine where we would spend all afternoon sitting inside the fence on the wide flat embankment just above track level, along with many other families picnicing at this prime spot. We would leave for home about six o'clock and go via LB and Swinstead back to Bourne to pick up the road for home. Trundling up to LB in the old Morris Minor, we would stop off at the station gate for half an hour more before grudgingly having to leave, school the next day. I don't think it is that wide at the point where the gate posts are. Looking on google street view at the present entrance you get an idea of where the gate would have been.

Give Andy a chance Ray, he still getting over the shock of the Potting Shed being turned into a burger and sausage parlour. Good job the Bitton Council declined the use as inapropriate for the area.

The gate post that you can see is leaning towards the road. The post that is hidden with the gate attached my also have leaned. That is not to say they are, it may be photgraphic distortion. From past experience of farm gates I would think that the gate actually swings outwards towards the road. It is open in the photo and could well be hidden by the tree at the left. The gate would generally sit level and vertical otherwise it would open or close with a mind of its own. edit: I am pretty certain the gate opened outwards, that is why the gate posts are set back away from the main road.

Andy, the index list looks good, thanks for the mention but I was not seeking any praise. If I was you I would add the index file as an attachment as well, that way people can download and print it off for reference rather than having to keep returning to the first page for reference.

Don't use the icons to paste the text, use the control key plus c to copy and the control key plus v to paste. Otherwise you get security issues between Word and here. This method works ok as I have just tried it on my own post. Open the Bitton Index.doc file in Word. Highlight all the text in the word document and press ctrl+c to copy Go to your first post on Bitton. Choose Edit at the bottom of the post. Put your cursor where you want the text to go and press crtl+v to paste

You have been lucky with the decent weather this Autumn. Trying to do all that brickwork in a normal year and you would still be going well into next Spring, so we are fortunate that KL2 will be starting much sooner than would have been the norm.
