  1. I agree with your comments Tony. My remark was aimed at the future with the possibility of Heljan sorting things out. I'm afraid I diluted my post by the unnecessary sympathetic comment in Hattons direction which distracted from my main point.
  2. That's encouraging Garry. Perhaps Heljan may take over some way of sorting out the Garratts directly. They are in a better position to effect a solution than Hattons who in fairness must be really frustrated by these problems too.
  3. She should have hidden Bill's passport thus forcing him to stay and help. Just joking Bill lol. Edited to get the name right. Oops.
  4. Martin that link is a brilliant reminder of what operational layouts were all about. Many thanks for sharing.
  5. Why all this talk of 16.5mm v various gauges between 18mm and 19mm when the new Peco track is still 16.5mm? BTW I have got so accustomed to Peco sleeper spacing that the new track reminds me of the coarse scale track of the past when the number of sleepers was reduced to save materials. In any case IMHO the closer spacing does make the track look better/longer as originally advertised by Peco. I may be in a minority here but Rule No 1 and all that.
  6. Safe journey Bill and many thanks for a wonderful project. Looking forward to my APT-E.
  7. Let's hope it is only 5 out of 2,000 Only a few have been received to date, not 2,000.
  8. That is the default (only) setting on my 1980s clock radio. Edited to correct the auto correct.
  9. To find out more go to post #1 and read on.
  10. Good find. Is there a New Old Road anywhere?
  11. Go for it Tony. You know you want one.
  12. I like the jig for lining up the axles.
  13. I did not realise Peco sold 3ft radius curves. They sell flexible track and I suspect the buyers do so because they want track that is NOT train set. By selling Settrack and various ranges of flexible track it is clear that Peco's market consist of both train set builders and also railway modellers.
  14. I just could not resist asking the seller if the item had been tested and does it run well in both directions. This is the reply: If you are on RMweb jaked258 please accept my apologies for my tongue in cheek question.
  15. Check your records Royal oak. I think you had to pay for the extra coaches in full at the time of ordering.
  16. Yes George I ordered an extra coach with my original order them subsequently ordered another. However that was still before the final deadline for ordering.
  17. Some. Not a lot. As the late Paul Daniels RIP would say
  18. Communist jokes are not funny unless everybody gets them.
  19. There is one there now but it is £300 http://www.ehattons.com/185923/Heljan_266202_HD_Beyer_Garratt_2_6_0_0_6_2_4978_LMS_std_bunker_pony_wheel_brake_1930_32_Lightly_/StockDetail.aspx
  20. they do reappear from time to time . Currently there are still a small number available from two other sellers in in Australia though slightly more expensive. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.TRS0&_nkw=Model+N60-2535&_sacat=0
  21. There was no restriction on the number of APT-E s for sale. If you did not order one at the time it is rich criticising them at this busy time. Enjoy your Deltic.
  22. Perhaps it's that Flying Scotsman clock that you ordered
  23. You have to ask Sandra.Sandra could have been saved a lot of work if they had only put the numbers on the orders at the start.
