  1. Is the shape of the Lima Class 87 wrong? The cab windows look too small compared to the real thing and Isn't the shell supposed to taper?
  2. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=561181610590057&set=a.312706475437573.66640.207521425956079&type=1&theater Does this help or add to the confusion?
  3. Anyone got pics of the P2 in Perth?
  4. Another good pic of the pre-production sample of the P2! https://twitter.com/Hornby/status/350630581203255297/photo/1

The limited Edition Class 67, P2, DoG, Mk1s, A1, elink etc etc....
  6. First pre-production shot of the P2 from facebook https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151491654935843&set=a.10150197267445843.309835.53107985842&type=1&theater
  7. I was wondering if that was indeed a model.... Excellent work!
  8. I commented on their wall post on facebook asking ''will they do a OO scale one'' their reply was ''At this stage we do not have any plans of the class 66 in OO gauge. Of course you should never say never''
  9. I meant that there is a difference with the headlights, aircon units etc... and with respect to the model the scale!
  10. Heljan's one certainly does look lovely. But it's the European version. I doubt they will do a OO scale one. I don't like the Bachy one anyways. Still prefer the Hornby one.
  11. Spotted this on Heljan's facebook page. They are doing a HO scale Class 66 https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=536529916409879&set=a.320946651301541.81182.178273575568850&type=1&theater http://www.rocky-rail.com/page7.html
  12. This is just an off-topic question, but does anyone know what software is used to make the models seen in the images Dave posts?
  13. Hi Dave, Firstly thanks for sharing the CAD images. Secondly, I will surely agree with your plan. The coupling box does need to be pushed back a little so your plan seems to be good. From how you have explained it there is not much to lose - it has a pin point axle so no strain, it will collect power so that's good and the Class 67 is Bo-Bo and that's a hit so I don't see any problems.
  14. Just saw this thread... very excited!! Any idea on the pricing? I so badly wish there was a Class 90 kit as good as this
  15. That looks lovely!! I just love it...nice work, crisp lines...keep up the good work
  16. Coming along well I must say... These colours still play tricks on one. The beige still looks brownish. I suppose when the white stripe and then the black goes on it might show up. Just a quick question, aren't the insulators removable? Waiting to see the finished product and also and update on your 56s
  17. Hey Mick, I got a similar email from Hattons regarding Hornby's Mk1s which I'm after. Hattons said that the Chocolate/Cream Mk1s would be due in Sep-Nov... I immediately tweeted to Hornby who said that all the models are due on time i.e. mid June for the BR Maroon ones and mid July for the Choco/Cream ones... Want to enquire about the Sentinels?
  18. Even my models are on shapeways. I will leave it at being delviered to my uncle. Thanks
  19. Much cheaper at hattons and rails...! I'm picking up an Arriva Class 67 and LL Class 56 from there as it's quite cheap.
  20. Impressive work David. I am doing HO scale models, haven't got down to ordering them as I don't know where to get a drive system for it. Anyway I have a small question, are the models printed in England or in the US? I can't afford to pay P&P if it has to come all the way from the States so I really need to know if it's being done in the UK or not so I can have my stuff ordered and my uncle can bring it down to India soon. How much do you pay for P&P?
  21. Nice... I was to get one repainted but now Hornby is doing one. Good choice, I'm also waiting for a Colas Rail version soon.
