1. Excellent stuff Tim, a very quiet appearance of the Class 2 though!! :-) Actually I didn't even realise your Class 2 (assuming it is yours) was anywhere near ready, is it the Comet kit that was mentioned a while back now?
2. You've got a cracking eye Tim for catching realism, something which has always impressed me with your modelling! This really looks like it could have been a real location, something which is much harder with a fictional layout as oppose to modelling a real location IMHO. Really looking forward to seeing Callow lane come to life once you start adding all the weeds and folliage! Just missing the Class 2 mogul to really capture the atmosphere of the Nailsworth branch! ;-)
3. Very nice Tim, you're best layout to date!!! :-) It's definitely got a hint of the Nailsworth branch! :-) Better crack on with that Class 2! :-D
4. Blimey Mark, that looks like progress! :-p I don't suppose that's the kit that was purchase when we ventured south into Bulleid country!? PDK springs to mind! ;-)
5. Excellent work Uncle Bryn...........a man of few words! I guess I ought to finish mine off, you recieved that order of buffers yet?
6. Photographic evidence of Craig looking worse for wear can be provided at special request!
7. Oh dear, look's like i'm still slightly sick or viral! I'll see what I can do about that later...............................
8. Yes it does appear that i'm technologically challenged once again! Unfortunately i'm at the mercy of work IT at the moment until (fingers crossed) midnight tonight when my new broadband goes live!

Yes there maybe a slight hint of CK's modelling rational but only as far as the HR 4.4.0, all the other's are perfectly justifyable with photograpic proof to hand! I didn't think about the Jones good's Mark but if you're offering to provide said loco i'm sure Robin would be more than happy to let it grace the front of a train of Mk1's on a rail charter.

Yes with the BR paintshop coming nicely on stream, it is certainly proving to be very profficient! It's a bit like a 1950's version of the modern backstreet car mechanic. Quite happy to take on projects, repaint, renumber, hide all sign's of previous origin and then deny even having said loco in the first place! I'm sure Inverness, Perth, St Rollox's etc wont miss the passing of a few Black 5's, all for a good cause of course!

Now am I likely to suffer form repeating HTML flu????
9.
That looks spot on Morgan! Looking forward to seeing your result's on Horwich's finest!

With regards to Barrow Road don't forget the occaisional visit's of K1's and K3's.................................even Scottish Black 5's made it down Mark! I'm still looking for the photographic proof of the HR 4.4.0's visit, during it's stop at BR before going on to be trialled on the Well's branch of the S&D!

10. Perhaps with a light dusting from the airbrush Dave? That IMO would help lift the detail on the skirts and slightly tone down the lining? But yes I do think the lining works! As per other's coment's the new shade of red sit's very well, the original colour was a bit on the pink side! Great stuff as per usual! Cheers Paul

Calpol 6 plus, if it still exists is for those aged, oddly, 6 and above. I don't think there's an upper limit!

Calpol 6+ and whiskey. Hmmm....

12. I believe it was purchased by Bert Hitchin, he of Taw Valley and 45231 fame to name his latest projects. I believe Bert purchased it as his retirement project so I have no doubts that it'll be worked on sooner rather than later. 45231 I think is ooop north on Jacobite duty and so is probably occupying a certain amount of Bert's time, however it was also put up for sale recently although I don't believe any announcements have been made to date. Cheers Paul
13. Nice work Bryn, takes me back to my Blue Peter days! I've seen this style of framing before and think it would be perfect for Colwyn, let me have a search this week and I may be able to bring up some useful research/ideas on the weekend!
14. Exam's finished! Hopefully the modelling bench can come back out of hibernation! :-D

Thanks chaps, good luck to those who still have more to do, this accountancy exam has probably been the hardest of my academic career to date! Time to drink beer me thinks! :-D

15. Sorry John, just read the OP and realised that the Bachy information is probably of no use to you on this occasion, hopefully it is a bit more useful to others out there!
16. Thanks Craig once again for reminding me about that Bradwell chassis that I missed! John, with regards to 9f's these days my preference (and Craig's) is a Bradwell Chassis with Bachmann body, I purchased the latter from R.D.Panes at the Stoke exhibition last year for £20. I don't have any contact details but I know he was based in Mount Pleasant, Porth, Mid Glamorgan. Further spec details are motor in tender (Canon 1833), High Level tenderiser and Dave Franks tender chassis (once available). Good luck with the project, would be good to see a few more out there! Currently I've only seen 3 Bradwell chassis's made up in the flesh, i'm sure there probably are a few more! There was an example being demonstrated with Bachy body at S4N and Expo EM by Greg? of Steamlines Sheffield, very little modification required for it to fit. Paul
17. Looking good Pugs! Must be time for a class photo so we can compare the differences! Just a couple of points, from the photo there's almost a thin gap between the streaking on the walkway stantions and the tank body, mainly the outer 2 as the middle one looks to hid it. I do like the effect of the steaking though, very effective! The other point was in regards to the walkways, would there have been any loss of paint/ware on the checker plate? Representable through drybrushing/highlights? I appreciate that you have to be careful not to overdo this! Very interesting to compare this to Adam's approach! So how many more to do?
18. Looks superb David! There's something very Manning Wardlish about that cow catcher, but I guess there's not too many variations of a fairly generic feature! I see there's some nice open space below the front of the boiler, I don't suppose there was any inside valve to be found hiding in there! Hope to see it out again on the circuit sometime soon, i'm sure you've got a few bookings up your sleve! Best Wishes Paul
19. You're not helping Pix!!!!! I think i'm going to start a petition to get you banned from RMWeb! I must not get tempted by 2mmfs!!!! I must not get tempted by 2mmfs!!!! I must not get tempt.....................................
20. Right Pix, if that's Craig's offer get em in the post sharpish man! I'll even chip in for postage! I missed yeh thread earlier! I knew something was up when Craig mentioned you were disappearing to wash yeh mineral! Good work though and please hide the etches when I next come to visit, otherwise i'll be deposited bits of paper in yeh pocket in exchange for you crossing my palm with nickle!
21. Bryn, I do like the idea of cup/keg holders, but as they somewhat dwarf that O gauge layout what are they going to do to Colwyn!!!!
22. Yeah, looking great Bryn! Better have it ready so we can play trains in June for the sequel! B) You may also want to water proof it just incase we take it down the pub!
23. David,

A massive improvement and definitely the right thing to do! It would have always bugged you if you hadn't, i'm slowly finding that there's quite a lot you end up remaking but the results are far more rewarding!

Good luck with the rest of the build!

Paul
24. Very impressive Robin! I do like the track plan and you've done extremely well to pick out the colours on the block instruments so clearly! The photo's really do trick you into believing this detail is alot bigger than it is in reality! Looks like you may have just caught the 2nd bracket from the left on the instrument shelf, i'm sure you'll make sure its tweaked back into position once its finally installed in the box! There can't be many 4mm signal boxes out there that can match Lawrence Hill for accuracy! Best Wishes Paul
