  1. I found this picture showing those brackets, on a coach with destination brackets. They look like they would hold something in place, it would be interesting to know there purpose.
  2. that brings back memeories, I used to borrow a mates Ford Thames van, to get to Race meetings in the 80's. T'was a beast to drive with rally wheels and tyres, and no power steering.
  3. now I just have too draw them and print them. the Falmouth branch is turning out to have some very unique rolling stock, the more I research the more I find. got to love the Edwardian era, for variety.
  4. this picture came up so much larger than on the snip, iI can see a lot more, and first thoughts are obviously wrong. It looks like the door vents are larger than the panels above, which makes me think the U29 would be the correct one?, what do you think.
  5. that was my third thought, and now i compare the different drawings again on the Pehrhos site, I think your correct.
  6. I am hoping for help to identify the coaches in the photo, from the Falmouth Station. My belief is the the centre coach is an E6, 7 or 9, and the outer coaches are the E49 and E50.
  7. Hi Khris this is probably your best bet, note the station and signalbox are still there as a vsitor centre. Ian Pope, Bob How and Paul Karau, An Illustrated History of the Severn and Wye Railway: volume one, Wild Swan Publications, Upper Bucklebury, 1983, ISBN 0 906 867 17 7 Stephen

  12. Hi Jeff, love the trees, they sit very well with the overall scene, creating a wonderful atmosphere. I hadn't noticed the wire fence before it pointed either.
  13. well thanks guys, tried both methods described. both work just got to find a favourite, so here are results. right hand is the copy paste and combine.
  14. thanks Ian I will give this a try in the morning, the move, copy and paste method worked, but this maybe a little less work.
  15. thanks for your comments, I was thinking this morning that a copy and paste might work, with the intersect command, will give it a try.
  16. I'm hoping some one here cold help point out to me, where I am going wrong. I am have issues getting the panels the right depth for the Tumble home on a GWR coach. the first image is what I get if using the method Carl shows on, 3D Drawing for Model Railways You tube. the second is when using the intersect command, when the paneling ribs show but the end of the coach dissapears.
  17. Hi Jeff You have the same vision for your layout as I do, to see trains running through the country side. I am hoping to build a new workshop this year, for woodworking, with a loft above to finally build what has been in my head, for the last 20 plus years. So i find your layout very inspirational, and your humour. regards Stephen
  18. love the third low angle view, very atmospheric.
  19. its -27 f here in Manitoba, severe brass monkey weather.
  20. of all the notifications I get, the only one I get issues with is Mikkel's, I get this every time. Oops - Euston we have a problem. We could not locate the item you are trying to view. Error code: 2B202/1 Stephen
  21. Hi Jeff does this look familiar, after reading your link again re blending wills sheet I remembered finding this on Google streeview. A veiw of the viaduct in Redruth Cornwall.
  22. Hi Jeff thanks for the link, i think this will work well, i previously tried the liquid plastic method of sprue melted in MEK, which works fine for other projects, but not so well for these sheets. Steve
  23. Hi Jeff do you have a post, showing how you've hidden the joints of the Wills sheets, I have never been happy with my efforts, but this looks fabulous.
  24. thanks for your reply, I see I was missing a step, which was why the rivets were ending up in some weird places. I will give this a go let you know how it goes.
