  1. They look very good. Excellent work.
  2. Is the warehouse the Scalescenes model? Looks impressive.
  3. Looks like a good start. Well done.
  4. I was looking forward to the London Festival of Railway Modelling this weekend, particularly as I wanted to see the Banbury layout as that was my old home town and I spent many, many hours spotting there. Unfortunately I had an arthroscopy procedure on my knee yesterday so instead I'm sat on the sofa with my leg raised watching mindless television. On the plus side I can plan my own modelling project and hopefully will be able to make a start once I'm bit more mobile. To all those going to the exhibition, have a great time!
  5. I liberate these stirrers for paint stirring but your idea is way better. Excellent!!
  6. Couldn't believe the baseboard size. I'm looking forward to seeing this develop.
  7. I'm gutted. As am ex-Banbury spotter I was looking forward to seeing this layout at Ally Pally, but I've just found out my long awaited knee operation is on the Friday of that weekend so I won't be able to get there!!
  8. I was brought up in Banbury and started my interest in railways when my mum used to take me to Spiceball Park on the north side of the station. I didn't want to go on the swings, I went and climbed up to the railings to watch the shunters working in the marshelling yard. When I started serious spotting a group of us used to meet in the dock at the north end or cycle down to where the shed used to be at the south end. I think you've captured the station beautifully. A great layout.
  9. Regarding the comment about the slope, although this would be logical it doesn't mean it has to be sloping away from the passengers. The bus shelter in Dereham Market Place has the same design flaw as I know from experience!
  10. Can i ask why you're swapping from N to OO? I'm interested as I'm trying to plan a small layout and I'm still trying to decide which scale to go for. I don't have much space available so N would give me more scope but I enjoy weathering and building wagons and it's just easier in OO.
