No op today, boys and girls. They are still deciding on whether to do op first or radiotherapy. While a bit miffed at nothing happening, I'd sooner they get things right rather than go off half-cocked. So it's a late, late lunch.

Health latest. Am in Preston hospital awaiting spinal op to reduce / remove tumour so taking the pressure off the spinal nerve. Hopefully I'll get mobility back once recovered from the op.

It's quite a job to retrofit tender brakes needing 2 pairs of hands. I didn't fit a rearmost set due to the coupling block and only the bottom part of the hanger would be visible any way.

Good to see you back, Graham. It's threads like yours that keeps me on going through what I am going through, so let's get some modelling going ladies and gentlemen to take my mind off things for a little while.

Not much done on the modelling front due to upper back pain. I had an MRI scan on Sunday 15 October and lying on my back in the scanner seemed to make things worse. I had already been put on Codeine by my oncologist who I had seen the previous Thursday which until then had been just about controlling the pain. By the following Tuesday the pain was almost unbearable and my GP put me on oral Morphine which soon sorted things out. The MRI showed a lesion on vertebrae T4 which was a tumour. The oncology team feared the associated swelling might affect the spinal nerve and said I was to go the Lancaster A&E that day - Tuesday and they might keep me in. 22 hours spent on a trolley in a corridor and I saw two teams of medics on Wednesday. More lymph nodes have been infected with tumours. As the pain was now under control there was no point in an admission (I doubt a bed was still not available when I left.) A multi disciplinary team meeting on Monday 23 October will discuss options for me which may include an op to remove the spine tumour or radiotherapy. I await a phone call on Monday evening or Tuesday.
Very much living for every moment now. We are going on a short break to Ayrshire from Sunday and an away day to London, first class, to see friends the week after.

I found RM very reliable but then I do live in a very, very small town so we know our posties. I leave a tidy box out if we are not going to in but if a parcel arrives unexpectedly while we are out they are supposed to take it back to the delivery office in Carnforth but the postie usually leaves it at the local PO which is far easier to collect from.

I see the listing has ended. Perhaps it shall re-appear but with a more legitimate description? It even says ex-layout but new (other). Can't be both...
Messaged him pointing out what the photo actually was. Reply received:

Genuine and very rare Triang TT Blue A1A
Is it really worth £975 ?
(Suppose it is if someone buys it at that price).
He goes by the handle of "goldenfleece". Anybody paying the asking price will be well and truly fleeced. Looking at his other stuff, the decimal point is in the wrong place

Straight out of vehicle breakers' trick book - list a car that's being broken for spares, but say you only get a wheel nut if you bid. They want to deal off of ebay.
I've reported him for all the good it will do. Also says selling due to failing eyesight then says will consider part ex for TT120!
