  1. My partner got sent home today with suspected Covid while going through the routine tests for her job showed her with a high temperature. Now after consulting my uncle who’s a paramedic and my friend who works for the NHS have advised me I’m now self isolating with her. We will get our Covid test results Thursday. Hopefully they are negative so I can go back to work. As while I’m off I’m not being paid. Big James
  2. Mainly funds reading between the lines on the website. By the end of steam only 34023 and 34102 was the only originals left. With 34023 being the more mechanically sound. So that’s why she got picked and saved. Big James
  3. Mass effect legendary edition. Announced for early 2021. It will be on current gen consoles and pc. With forwards compatibility with the new Xbox and PS5. Big James
  4. I went to Asda to do my biweekly shop. It was like the end of the world. Some people are just selfish. Literally everything fresh had been emptied and the people were crammed in like sardines. The supermarkets won’t be closing. As team leader for one of the major retailers I know from here till after xmas I’m gonna be in for a long hard slog. Big James
  5. Pretty much. Trying to type with sausage fingers after a night shift isn’t a good idea. Big James
  6. On my railway I model the former lswr from 1955-1965. If it run on the former lswr in that period I’ll run it on my railway. But I also have a soft spot for industrials and certain preserved locomotives. So I also run it as a preserved railway at a later date. Which means lots of mk1’s with a smattering of grouping stock and one rake of birdcage coaches that’s how I get away with running what I want. But before I buy stuff for the preserved section I always have a scout out first for the BR time period first as that’s the predominant period my railway is run in. Big James
  7. Rochester castle has the tallest keep in England. Portchester castle is the best preserved Roman fort north of the alps. Hastings castle was one of the first stone castles in England. Big James
  8. I really don’t know. But I do know a lot of my friends have started modelling. Not just railways there’s been an explosion of warhammer to. I also have my end to end layout set up in the living room and it always gets commented on when people come round. I’ve even let some of my trusted friends operate it with supervision. Big James
  9. I remember reading about a layout with it in railway modeller when I was younger. I think it was called brockley (south london). It was an inspiration to me growing up. Big James
  10. I’ve recently started watching agents of shield again. I don’t think anyone but the most hardcore MCU fans even followed it all all the way through. It has given us some of the greatest villains on tv. Which is a shame that no one ever really gave it a chance. big james
  11. I started with a Hornby a Hornby Percy and troublesome trucks when I was 6. My grandparent bought me a Hornby 0-4-0 Holden, a couple of sidings and a station. It’s all long gone but Percy survives on my memento shelf. big james
  12. Anyone else remember animals of farthing wood. The death count would make GRR Martin proud. big james
  13. Lonely island specifically captain jack sparrow weird Al ode to a superhero or Jurassic Park and last but not least anything by Kevin bloody wilson big james
  14. I find a lot of console in release have Some faults with them. Xbox 360 had the red ring and the switch has the joy con drift also the joy cons stop connecting to it properly. I think I’m going to wait for the second batch to release as by then they normally fix majority of the faults. Also unlike when the PS4 release which had infamous second son and uncharted 5 I’m finding that both consoles launch line up of games quite underwhelming. Which is a shame really because I helped launch the PS4 for one of the major retailers and got mine on release date. big james
  15. I had something similar happen over some skaledale platform bits. I can honestly say I’ve never paid more then £5, most have been boxed and in good condition. I only needed 2 more one was listed put in my usual bid of £5. Then I watched as with 2 hours to go 2 bidders went mad over it. It ended up selling for £28 plus P&P. Not a lot leaves me shocked but this did. big james
  16. All 3 of the Croft mansion levels are amazing. It’s surprising how many old games still hold their own. I dug out resident evil 2 the controls was a tank but the puzzles still easily hold their own. big james
  17. It’s funny how replay-able the old games was. I was playing tomb raider 2 on my old PS1 the other day. The graphics have aged badly but the gameplay still holds up to modern standards. The shipwreck levels are some of the best platform levels of all time. big james
  18. It this time. I bought the Xbox 360 on launch and it had red ring then died. I made the same mistake with the PS4 touch wood had no problems with her but the launch day titles was rubbish. So learned my lesson this time and I’m going to wait till the first game comes out that I want. big james
  19. Younger family members talking about classic albums and including stuff from my childhood. big james
  20. Thank you for doing the poll. I always enjoyed filling it out and always looked forward to it. You have done wonders to the hobby. Big James
  21. Fair play mate. You’ll do a cracking job as it seems to be a match made in heaven. big james
  22. Man talks to a ball for an hour before going home to wife big james
  23. Ape is raised by humans. Doesn’t like it very much.
  24. First thing that terrified me as a child was the donkey bit from Pinocchio. First horror film I watched that gave me nightmares was night of the living dead when I was 8. That bit at the beginning with “coming to get you Barbara” still gives me goosebumps. big james
