  1. Weeell ................................ ................................... Ok then .................. but make sure that you don't stay outside too long, getting cold lines fingers ........
  2. Well we are getting more practical these days ................................ ................ the old fashioned Cheque used to go soggy and unreadable by the time it got to the top of the Winch ........... Edit - and most people think that "Check Cheque mate" was the END of a game ........ in reality - just the Hook to get you a lift to the top of the line .....
  3. Difficult question .............. Oh - Eerr ........... how many Droppers did you say you wired in .................. ................. I wouldn't keep at it for too long, if you want to take off .................. many a person gone Splat off Brighton[?] Pier in similar attempts ...... PS - only found your Rael Dale today and had a most enjoyable read, thank you for all those Posts, raelly really enjoyable.
  4. Fingers crossed for you - dt the enlarged version of the picture looks as though the lines are much better this time .....
  5. It's a good one to remember PJ ................. so are 6 flashes of a torch, when stuck without radio or other sound instrument, like a whistle. easy to do round the whole horizon too, by simply swinging the torch in a circle round your head, 6 times. The reply will be 3 x long flashes [easy to remember as 3 long = 6 short] - just keep at it until they reach you with the Helicopter to whoosh you home again ..... ................................................. .......................................... unless, of course, there is a convenient train to take you ......
  6. I wuz jus' drivin' araan the new tressle estate ......................... an it jus' fell orf, 'ones' guv ...... It jus' fell orf guv by JulianR 2013, on Flickr Ummm ...... wot naah? Edit = Hapo-stroph apostle apostripe upper level comma
  7. It would appear that the Cornish sunlight is good too. That looks for all the world like a Hot, Hazy, Summer Day ........... even 'though I know the temperature is no where in that range ..... even in Cornwall.
  8. Really like the ones with the outside background behind the Scenic background ... prabber jab, my 'ansome .....
  9. I can see where you are coming from. I also agree about semantics too. The AV layout does have several sizable sections which include some film makers [hence Daleks etc being here] and as such it would seem to get back to the fact rather than fiction category. It would seem that the picture represents a view from somewhere around where the film makers are filming from too, as they are not visible in the pictures here, but have appeared along with the characters in other shots on AV. I particularly like the churned up snow and winter lighting to the shots too. I was looking at the "Model the right type of snow" articles in Model Rail Mag and there was mention of "Delux Shovelled Snow" at some considerable price, but Jaz has that same messed up squashed chucked about snow made from scratch - great.
  10. Treasure Island all over again - on-line ............. ...... sort of "Spot the Spot" ....... Aaarrrr, shiver me timbers - there ye be Jules me bucko ..... give us a 'and up out-er thicky boat ............ ........................................... AAARRGGH!!! ................... NNAAAAGH!! ............................ Curses - he handed me the Black Spot ............. :help:
  11. .......................... pause for thinking "... ... ... ... ... ... ..." ........ clearly ... education may well not be the only cause .............................................. perhaps ............. old age and a need for consideration of other factors, might lead to several groups of 3 x dots being con-joined ... but then English teachers were never known for their expertise in mathematical Differentiation [Note: there is a capital "D"] "... ... ... ... ... ... ..." [which may be interpreted as 7 x pauses for thought - or - 7 x Morse for "S" [Maths and pedant hat firmly switched orf] PS. My daughter some while ago, went for an interview for 6th Form entry to a well known good School for a place in their 6th Form. She established good credentials for 2 A Level topics, but was not really sure what might best accompany them. At this stage, one of the teachers [Head of English, as it turned out], complete with Tweed Suit and Woven Stockings, suggested A Level English might be a possibility, considering daughter's good pass level in the subject [with some other very logical reasons for it being so]. Daughter responded that she would rather take a useful subject ... ... the whole assembly realised the implications of the reply and simply held their breath ... ... Head of English, was however, an intelligent Lady and understood exactly what daughter had meant by her reply. She thought for a few seconds and suggested that Geology might be a good match for her other subjects. [i have heard people say that the "Tension could be cut with a knife" ... in this case the "Relief could be felt to wash over the whole assembly". ... Edit - O = S ... --- ...

  15. Every sympathy for the wrists and hands, very debilitating indeed. Use of hands, back and feet are never really thought about - until something happens to their function. I don't want to hi-jack dt thread, so I had best limit the post there.
  16. Wow indeed ...... I'm always amazed they can corner so quickly on such narrow wheels. I really don't know how he didn't come off, when the motor-bike took the apex and he was set to go round it at a speed he had already committed to and a couple of near ones with cars later on. .
  17. Oh1 .. Oh1 ...... twice ......... ............ quick .... quick .......................................... where did I leave those shorts ...........................
  18. How about ................... a Tricycle with a sidecar for you to put the weekly shopping ....... .......................... .................... on top of the new Loco purchase you want to pass quietly into the house ....
  19. Eeerr ..... .......... who is Dave Ros ......
  20. Oh, my goodness me ........ ............... .............. you mean that that was a WC underneath that pile ............ I thought it was Mess Rugby ........... no wonder the Wg Co's trousers were round his ankles I just imagined he had hold of the ball [ cushion was the normal replacement - in the Mess] and someone had de-bagged him to stop him running ....... I do remember once grabbing someone's head to heave him off the ball - - only to find it belonged to the Gp Capt, who mearly smiled and remarked that the effort to pull his head off was unlikely to succeed in revealing the ball, as the rest of his body was under the pile rather than on top of it ....... Ooops ...
  21. Not strictly true ......... .................. Just taking a longer time to remember some words these days ............ Either that or you are one of Ed Balls Political Advisors .....................
  22. All those Boards ..... very nice ....... are you going to put Any Rail on it? ........
  23. Unless ..................... It was big enough to make a double base ......
  24. Now come along everyone .......... just calm down now and put the thinking cap on .................... . ............................ down through the Tunnel .... along to the Spokeshave ......................... and ......... turn left, using a great bit load [scale, you understand] of wood ....................... .................. it is the new Joint Rail project between France and Uk to build a bridge across the "English Manche" - which can be used every time a Chunnel train sets on fire and stops the Euro-Fats from accessing their claims accounts ................. [unfortunately not accessible for descent citizens on the grounds that they cannot claim the ridiculous prices for the tickets - which can only be afforded by those who can can claim from the Euro circus] .........
