I was just about to make a comment about getting that [OO model] 47 lookalike off the Layout and clean it up ...... ........... when I worked out, after several closer looks, that it is a photograph of the actual DP and not your Layout at all ...... No doubt about it, your DP is more like DP every day .......

Is that the one ........... ............ you use religiously every time you are making your tea .........

When I sewer this ............ ....................... I just laughed like a drain ......... Ok ........ I go enjoy Christmas now ...... Hat, coat and mince pie please ..... Edit:- need to learn how to spell/type .......... do RMWeb do a handwriten option - then I would know whether it was the brain or the fingers which was the problem

Thanks Jaz It is that usual difference that surrounding colours make to an item then.

Is that the same Yacht Varnish as round the back of Goathland? It looks a little clearer, which would be appropriate for the recent snow-melt. Perhaps it is just thinner?? ... are you sure those boys are actually avoiding getting splashed from the puddles and not the real cause of them ..... they do look a little over excitable .......

Well now ........ looking back ......... ............ .... They both seem to have "Scrubbed-up" Ok ...............

If your modeling was not as good as it is, in reality .................... ............... The Signal Box would stand out much more than the fact that it is sitting on top of the Platform .......... it would look the same sort of miss-match as a soldier wearing his Scarlet Parade Jacket, with Camouflage Trousers, Pack, Tin Hat and Field Boots ....... and it simply doesn't ............... it blends wonderfully, with the other items and weathering etc ........... I suppose it might be compared to a team, which is working very well ................ whereas - a single perfectly sent pass or kick, would be useless, unless it matched the positions of the players on the same side. Alternatively - a quick pass or kick, hastily executed, but to the right place in the team, will serve very well indeed .....

That Signal Box is going to look delightful amongst the other detail on DP ........ a lovely complement to the rest of what has already been achieved to date ..... I really appreciate what gets shown on your layout, there is always information and detail ...... looking back, there is a veritable gold-mine of information .... you didn't have to share it ..... .................... Thank you - very much.

I'm not quite so convinced about that ...... ........... looks pretty stationary to me - hasn't moved despite several pictures .................... which would probably make it .................. .................. Norwegian Blue ...........

MERRY CHRISTMAS ... ..... and a small request for pictures of the Wagons ....

Went to the School Carol Service yesterday, in the local Church ....................... lovely ... Carols, Solos from children, little ones doing Shepherds etc, small Orchestra [children], Handbells [and tortured little faces in concentration], serious faced Readings ................................ and ............................... and a couple, a few rows from the back .... touching-up each other's bums, all the way through ...... The Mums behind then were cracked up .......... even though it didn't seem quite the place for that sort of thing .....

PERFECT ............................ ...................... Particularly at 08.00 in the morning ..... set up laughing for the day .......

The way he keeps looking at that watch .............. it might .. by now be Run as Retired ........ ....................... Eeerr now then where did I put my hat .... it is definitely time to dash orf to the shop .... eerr ... to look for ........ Christmas ... Ooh yep .. presents ................. probably a Tin Hat first ...

How many of you are old enough to be able to tell the time from the Photograph ............................... Ok then ...................... it is clearly 10.10 hours ........................ [Clue? .. ....................................................... One Ford car in each direction ..] Answer = Weeell Daaarling because that means it must be "Tin past Tin" .........

The effect has not gone away ...... it just needs the Layout to be re-planned for a Chinese or N Korean location .......

I was nowhere near Eaton or anything vaguely similar, but caps were for the winter and 6th Form wore Boaters, during the Summer ...... I still have my boater, although the only reason is that I have never got around to binning it. ....... MD keeps looking at it and wanting it for dressing up, but it is a proper made and varnished[?] one with a lining too, so I am as yet reluctant on that score. Edit: School colours were Gold [bright Yellow more like] and Black - it doesn't take much imagination to work out what vertical stripes of those colours looked like .....

Signs are, the hunt for signs is looking good ... First off a simple sandwich board, hand written ................... and rather tempting .....
