  1. Hi, would I be right in thinking that as my GWR 58xx is not fitted with Auto gear it would never have worked with a Auto/Rail Coach? I believe the GWR 48xx's are out next
  2. "Enjoy the 48xx, while you can" That's a little ominous what have you heard?
  3. So would the Geep's CSX turned into slug-units be classed as B units as most if not all still had their cabs?
  4. The one! good thing about my bad back is I can never get down to track level to see what the boiler looks like
  5. I can just see someone at Hornby laughing their head off and saying " Thank God they found the two extra rivets on the Oxford loco, no one will pick ours apart now"
  6. I'm trying to remember if I've ordered one or not ? Old age I think
  7. Just a very quick one about the DCC chip (Bachmann) my loco is still in the post so I don't know how the chip fits, but are so talking about the 36-556RA that's the one where the pins are bent or is it the 36-558A where the pins are flat?
  8. And as we watch the ship sail off into the sunset, we look down at our feet and see the Bachmann box they've forgot *##$%
  9. Any chance my 144 is in one of them box's?
  10. At the end of the day you can only do so much, 24 hours in the day etc. Of course if someone happened to have a 144 on order
  11. I've only had dealings with DC kits at shows never on-line till now that is, a little while ago I ordered a class 144 from Realtrack I'm thinking the units are in stock as nothing was said about back ordering. I've read somewhere on their site to allow 28 days for delivery in your dealings with them is that about right? FYI This is in no way any kind of complaint I'm sure the 144 units are well worth the wait.

Both of my 'earlier' loco's are ok as well as my later 62027. However I'm not sure if they were made at different times just that they may have been shipped at different times

This is my last word on my K1 I know its far from perfect but its as close to perfect as I'm going to get, as my last loco kit is still half done and is back in its box. Odd thing is I'm trying to keep my shed set in the North East (I live here) so I was looking at a B1 next Happy New Year Everyone.

Please, please don't take this the wrong way Bernard, but why do you seem so happy to have found something wrong with a loco I really like ?

Its a funny time of year just to see what I could find I put a search for 'BR coal wagons' into e-bay and TMC's K1 came up as its fitted with...real coal.

And I still say there are two ways of looking at it...the loco that is 1/ a quick glance and you'll never see any bent bits or 2/ really look hard at it till it go's in to soft focus and again you'll never see a thing. You all may think I'm making light of the problem...I am. I'm also very happy to have a really nice K1.

Anyway my K1 is happily working away on my rolling road and as I sit here looking at it I'm sure there is something wrong with the footplate everyone has told me there is but I'll be buggered if I can see it, and as luck would have it my straight-edge which I take everywhere with me is having the day off. I buy my ballast from a guy in a shop I've never asked where he get's it.

I know people will disagree with me but I just call it greed The above was not a dig at TMC but about the inflated prices on e-bay

There you go first one on e-bay
  21. 'Regiojet' is that the same as the OBB Railjet? I've seen it a number of times over the weekend
  22. I think the 'Press' loco came in early on Fri with a tank train. While I'm here the tank cars that are kept in the lower right hand corner are they slurry tank cars?
  23. Kernow must be keen doing the GWR loco and the class 71 with DJ Models of course the 71 is being paid for with crowed sourcing
  24. I don't know if its of any interest to anyone but I'm selling on that ROCO 754 I picked up a little while back, its only been test run so is as new. PM me if anyone's needs details.
