Our club was once at a show where on one side we had a Southern Railway layout which used bells as part of its signalling set up and on the other side we had a BR shed layout full of sound fitted class 37...great fun

I was once talking to a trader who was placed between two sound layouts at a show, by Sunday packing away time came around he was a sound convert...and deaf

Yes it seems to have atmosphere all right, but not a place to go at night I'm thinking.

Amtrak train hits garbage truck in Virginia

Apart from the sad loss of life it seems only fitting that this train should run into a garbage truck -
Our club was e-mailed about this as I'm sure most clubs were. Thank God no one was keen on it, I only watched half an hour of it and I wanted to punch someone...maybe its just me.

Do you remember the good old days when people would be upset if Hornby had the livery of a loco wrong, and now we've come to this 11 pages of nothing just what are we getting out of it? FYI yes there was a little sarcasm there.

That's the thing I really like about this site in 3 day's we've gone from loving the new loco to wondering if its not to late to redesign it, sadly I have way to many half done kits I'll never finish so this is the only way I'd get an Andrew-Barclay loco. Ok I'm done continue

I wondered if you could help with this I've just watched a DVD that showed Colas 60076 on a cement train but on the side of the loco it had a 'TARMAC' logo was this just a one off thing? -
I've seen one or two reviews of the wagon on YouTube and they look good but not £83 good, and if the reviewer was right there are only two numbers! I wonder what Hornby will do with the moulds?

Just ordered 506 from HATTONS its a nice shade of green. Of course someone (not me) will cover that nice green in crap and paint NCB on the side and bang it on e-@@@

At first my thinking was 'this is a miss print' but no over in the States unused coal Bethgons Gondolas are having covers fitted to carry used grain from ethanol plants which is used for animal feed. It seems Kato are doing a 8 car set in N-scale I wondered if anyone had heard about any being done in HO as I said all I can find are N- scale

I'm not sure when but it was some time ago!! I picked up an assembled pre-production sample of the SD50/60 'DRAPER TAPER LOCO'. Manufactured by Chris Leigh, I'm sure I'll get round to finishing it someday
