  1. I could have sworn that they had retro fitted RM1 with the original front. Nice Pics must get there soon
  2. Where is all the steam coming from in between the frames?
  3. Roy Happened to me as well recently with a pic of Edmonton Low Level, as you said correct way round and i would have got it in seconds. Back to the original post. Has the OP tried looking at the back numbers of the LURS journal. IIRC there was a series on Met stock in the early years, well worth a read anyway
  4. Banger Thanks. Whne i posted the enquiry, there was nothing on there. Now it has been amended tp show Sat and Sun. Very helpful Regards
  5. Rail Uk do not appear to give these, onlt state Mon-Fri So are the Sat HST diagrams the same as weekdays. If not has anyone got them please?
  6. carriage sidings were everywhere coming out of KIngs Cross. I think one of the main ones was the Holloway set on the down side before Finsbury Park. AfterFP there were thw sub sidings where most of the quadarts grazed between rush hours. Bounds Green, where the current HST complex is also has a few and there were sidings on the up side between Wood Green And Hornsey aka the coronation shed IIRC
  7. Apologies in advance for being awkward! but does anyone recall the video of the nutcase that nearly got took out when filming at a level crossing? urgen problem cropped up otherwise i would have trawled through the whole thread!
  8. Have a look at the backnumbers of the LURS. IIRC there is a list in one of them that shows wagons http://www.lurs.org.uk/historicalarchive.htm Apologies if i am completely wrong
  9. If i am not mistaken that is just south of Seven Sisters Station in North LOndon on the Liv St to Enfield Line. The trolley is a give away, as is the curve just seen to South Tottenham Station. Which was used by the North Woolwich to Palace Gates service If already spotted ...apologies for double post
  10. Jamie, i have the same book, but it is buried somewhere in the loft, following redecoration! Robert, Thanks, it was a remark on another forums that made me ask. Back in 1960 or so Spurs played Crewe in an FAcup tie, the replay at Tottenham resulted in a 13-2 win for Spurs and the rumour was they arrived on P13 and departed on P2. Looks like that is a myth but the reverse could have happened, arr P2 depart P13 Thanks for the replies
  11. In.which direction did the platform numbering go? Eg was plat 1 the easternmost? And what were the normal long distance arrival and departure platforms?
  12. You may get some help if you went onto pistonheads General gassing forum https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?h=0&f=23 You have to register Beware, there are some on there who invented the word sarcasm
  13. 5 pts to that man didn't spot that at all! And it was a query about the plate from a third party
  14. Andy Thank you for the quick reply have a good Xmas Ron
  15. If anyone has visited there in the last few months, could they confirm if the B17 nameplate Middlesborough is still there. The last time i saw it it was on the ground floor near the Madder Valley layout I would ring but they are not open again until after Xmas and it is rather an urgent question Thanks
  16. I have done the scattergun approach to get an answer but so far no definitive answer So Here goes Ex LNER B17 What size were the cabside numbers please I have had suggestions they were 8 or 9 or 10 inches, which still leave me perplexed Anyone out there know the correct size please?

  18. Have also put this on the Rail UK forum Just come back from Bracknell to see the Black 5 go through. It was scheduled to stop, but what surprised me was the announcement Instead of the usual ' Stand back not for public use ( or variant of) It said The delayed 21.08 West Coast Railways service for London Victoria, calling at Staines and Hounslow' So ate thy anew franchise running the occasion service steamer. Was very tempted to get a return to Staines to see what would happen. It certainly gave the impression that this was for bonafide travellers to the stations mentioned
  19. There are a couple of threads on the Rail UK forums on the B17 and another pie in the sky schemes, all of which i have the greatest respect for except the B17 61662 group!!! This is the B17 one https://www.railforums.co.uk/threads/b17-new-builds.173578/
