all that is left are the bridge abutments where it crossed the wcml. all other sections are now built over.

regarding where the top wire sits I have found a section near to cheadle hulme station in stockport that has a mix of where the top wire is either on top or underneath the arm.

they look good when crossing the viaduct in Stockport they certainly stand out need to try and catch them with the camera a phone just dose not do them justice.

I have had 2 megapoints boards and a mega panel sat here for about 3 months. so in the last few days finally got round to setting it all up. like has been mentioned above once you get use to the button pressing travel of the points can be set in seconds. the panel with some addition gives a full mimic of the layout with a single push button for changing the points both ways. as for unused outputs with a bit of building and thought you can use them for crossing barriers uncoupling ramps. I have even set up a servo up in the garage on a car ramp. just waiting for my linear servo's to arrive to see if a loco lift is possible.

great shop and the gent who runs the shop very helpful and took time to show me through the kit i was looking at. shame its not closer to where i live as its a proper model shop with everthing you need.

used to see the ici hoppers with 2 37's every Saturday when I was younger and helped my granddad when he worked at simons in Cheadle. but the best ever one for me was a double headed loaded roadstone train through reddish even though they always came through this one time we were on the bridge and the lady slowed the train right down as we all look over the bridge parapet full throttle was applied with a smile. wow the heat given off and the sound. even though it was 20 odd years ago can remember it like it was yesterday.

from the look of the age of the photo it would have been from the time the 1500v system was changed over. a quick search gives the conversion being done in 1971. on another note there's a good few clips you tube of the hoppers in and around the north west

these have always been on my want list. used to always see these passing through Cheadle heath or hazel grove always with a double header of two 37's. always could tell what was coming along as the sound would be with you well before the train.

just recived this leter today for the £125 and also rang Hornby about the cost to replace and was told they would send on they have in stock as a repalcement. glad i have my duch body ready for refitting.

it seams as thought they are very busy with the 31 (31 110). As at christmas i was treated to another sound chip and when i wnet to fit it notices a small crack and the body was very tight to remove. it was only when i went to refit the body the ends had dropped. a quick search on line brought me to this thread and forums so joined up. the day after a phone call to Hornby and all i said was " i have a train where the ends have dropped off" did not get chance to say any more and the lad on the phone went " i take it is a class 31 and to send it in with a covering letter" it has been with them for about a week and a half now so if i hear of when it might be back ill update on time taken.
