A shame they haven’t announced a WCR 37 or 47 in the new versions yet to pull them.
Accurascale 37 🤞😅

For pre 2020 models, Bachmann update the release dates on the Bachmann website as and when necessary. The Scotrail Mk2 coaches have had an early 2023 release date since June 2022.
Showing as arrived on the Bachmann website so I’d expect them in shops soon!

I think after the Barwell teams announcements this morning it's time for the guys from the Emerald Isle to reveal their next batch
Yes please! Before I place my preorder 😂

I nearly fell over when I got the email saying “Accurascale new announcement” then realised it was these couplings :)…Sorry it’s January so there’s not many other exciting things happening! :)

I can only agree with Jenny that weathered livery as standard would have been far more realistic and is a missed opportunity; whilst I do like the wagon, it does look like rather gaudy plastic rather than heavy steel, and the colours - particularly the white and orange - are just far too bright for a very dirty heavy industry.
Images of a weathered version have been shared on Facebook by KR Models, soon available to pre-order.I’ve suddenly just become much more interested in adding a torpedo to my collection! I think it looks spot on! 👌

Looks like these have been pushed back again, MK1s now showing Aug/sep and MK2 showing Feb/March.

So it’s partly your fault that I can’t get my hands on any of the SK potter coaches for my train. Thanks very much.
Yeah sorry about that! 😅😂Knowing Hornby they probably produced 4 BSKs for every SK produced as they seem to be plentiful.

I think most people wont notice about the ends of the coaches being painted maroon either when the Bachmann stock comes out in a standard BR maroon appearance with some lovely WCRC logos added. Still, many will like them and be happy.... I guess that's what matters.
I'm doing a set based of coaches on the market that I can get without needing much filling and I know Mick has done a charter set too. The stock can get interesting, but it is possible to do.1 hour ago, matchmaker said:One problem about changing Hornby Mk 1s to make them look reasonable for WCRC is the bogies - the Hornby TSOs have BR1 bogies, WCRC Mk 1 TSOs have either Commonwealth or B4. Guess what Hornby don't sell as spares?
I’ve just started building my rake of WCRC MK1s, I’ve found a good starting point are Hornby’s latest Harry Potter MK1s, They have maroon ends, orange stripe, correct bogies and are the latest toolings.I’m just removing the Harry Potter logos and replacing with some WCRC transfers from Railtec, A covering of varnish, paint the bogie details and darken the roofs and that’s close enough for me 🙂

I’ve received my Rail Charter Services Mk3s today, same as the FGW ones they are a transfer not printed.
4 out of the 5 coaches are actually pretty straight and acceptable but the Buffet car has a nice sag on one side unfortunately.
Does anyone else have them to see if they are all the same or if I have a bad one?
Cheers,
Adam

Love it.
i’d been trying to build up an EMT rake for 2 years but the coaches were scarce and heavily over priced, some over £100 !
Id seen some of the first class Mk3s selling for over £120! They’ve soon dropped in price now though!
The power cars still go for around £300 though, despite having the incorrect lights! -
My EMT Mk3s arrived yesterday after being somewhere in the post system for the last 10 days, they look really nice, a decent upgrade on the ex lima Mk3s…
Just need the power cars now! Come on Hornby 😬
Has anyone purchased a rake of the Rail Charter services coaches yet? I’ve picked up the rake from Chester model centre, just awaiting their arrival.

Just ordered a pair of Midland Pullman power cars, I wasn’t going to bother but I think Hornby have made a decent job of them and has made me want a set! 😫
Hattons had 10+ at lunchtime and now they’ve all gone! 😳 -

Can I ask in which batch 37402 will be in please? After my disaster at Warley on the 27th (which @Accurascale Fran knows about), I’m having to shuffle pennies about to make sure I can pay for it.
Check out Accurascale’s blog for delivery dates:https://www.accurascale.com/blogs/news/want-chips-with-that-class-37-update-october-2022
One thing Accurascale do very well is keep their customers up to date with project status and estimated delivery dates.Cheers,

My Victory has had a bit of a make-over. I swapped the weathered bodywork with the factory-finish bodywork from a Victory that belongs to a friend, because liked the weathering that I had done. Mine now has the wheels painted and a coat of a coloured varnish applied to the red paintwork in order to darken it and black boiler bands to break up the mass of red. It has also been fitted with buffers for handling chaldrons.
That looks amazing! Could easily be mistaken for 0 gauge!- 2

First impression is that they look good.
It's certainly not a decal.
But:
There is a bit of fuzziness on the curved ends of the blue on a couple of coaches and one of the TFs looks like the blue mask wasn't down fully across the top of a couple of spaces between windows. (Other fuzziness is my dodgy phonecam)
Both of these will be subject to a short visit to the paintshop soon.
The fixed "cosmetic" buckeye and magnetic buckeye are quite welcome.
Certainly more acceptable that the decals.
Thanks for the images, I’m impressed.Definitely an upgrade on the old coaches.

I see the East Midlands Mk3s are starting to be advertised for sale.
Has anyone got one yet?
Are they properly printed sides or decals?
edit: belay that question - my LMS has just informed me that he will have them in the next hour or so - I shall visit him during my lunchbreak
I was just wondering the same thing before I click “Buy” on my £340 shopping basket…
