  1. Not sure about the latest reincarnation! https://www.volkswagen-vans.co.uk/en/electric-vans/electric-and-hybrid/id-buzz.html
  2. Style! If it’s original it’s probably got a 1200cc engine whereas the the one I learned in was a very late model and had 2l engine.
  3. Seen at Whitby station earlier this week and I wasn’t the only one taking pictures. I learned to drive in one of these, though not a chopped one. Still remember the handbrake lever coming out from just under the centre of the dash.
  4. Whitby earlier this week.We even found somewhere the did gluten free fish and chips and allowed dogs in, ( well on at the tables outside on the pavement.)
  5. Evening All, HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAZ, I hope you’ve had a good day. I dropped my camera while on holiday last week, on fact on the first day, I hadn’t even taken a picture. I thought I’d just broken the filter but on further inspection I’ve damaged the body, the metering system is U.S. As mentioned before the body is quite old and the battery compartment doesn’t secure properly. To cut a long story short, it’s not worth paying for it repairing but this range of camera is now discontinued. The new mirrorless cameras by the same manufacturer are not fully compatible with the lenses that I have. I think the choice is get the next body up in the range of buy a second hand body. Decisions, decisions. Or I could do nothing. Goodnight.
  6. A parts bin special, a Bedford CF VAN no less!
  7. Never seen one of these before. Not a good shot but conditions where poor and I was in a rush. I couldn’t get a picture from the front but I like the stying though the rear light cluster looks bit clumsy.
  8. Evening All, Been to Whitby today as we felt that after mil had looked after Hovis while we were away in Spain she deserved a day out. I think me and SWMBO need a day out now as it was hard work. Didn’t even get to Beck Hole as I believe there’s something that may interest me there. We really could have done without spending the day out as jobs related to selling mums house and the old business premises are becoming urgent but seems that I’m the only one seeing it that way. I’d rather have stayed at home, got some jobs done and have a hour of drivelling. I’m not sure I’ll be suggesting day trips out again it just not worth the hassle and headache. On a positive note I went to the MRC last night and work is progressing nicely on the fabric of the club rooms. Enough moaning, the washing machine needs emptying. Goodnight.
  9. Morning All, Just had breakfast as I can’t sleep. We’ve got Sydney for a sleepover and he’s becoming very timid/anxious. He doesn’t like the window open or the Dyson fan on at night so we have all suffered but by the looks of it me in particular! Sydney’s asleep in one of his baskets and Hovis is stretched out on my side of the bed. Not sure what the day holds but as Baz has commented on, rain is due in this part of the country. Maje the most of your day.
  10. I thought it was already in the public domain, and me being almost computer illiterate couldn’t find it. If others are interested I wouldn’t mind a few more exerts. Enjoy the rest of your time over there.
  11. Evening All, Despite what I must admit sounded like a rant earlier, I did manage to get a bit of work done. In fact I believe the VAT return is ready for submission but I’m going to have another look tomorrow. Since returning from my walk abouts I’ve done three things that I hate doing. 1) Interaction with an estate agent in regards to Mums property up here. 2) Been to see a car (well van really) salesman 3) Been to a wedding reception. On a Sunday, 90minutes away, everyone including bride and groom from Barnsley. Started at 7:30, food at 9:30 but at least, as promised, gluten free option was available. Not much to report but took SWMBO for physio on her foot. Accident happened eight weeks ago and still it’s swollen and painful. Goodnight.
  12. Where can one find this blog?
  13. Continuing with the Japanese travel thread, here's a picture from my holiday in 2019, Sakaiminato I think. The town has many cartoon type characters made of stone adorning the streets and the DMU's livery is connected with this.
  14. At mil’s, in the smallest room in the house as its the only sane place. With nephews and dogs here and mils on top form with the singing I may as well give up on any hope of doing some paperwork.

  16. Who’s got the jump leads?
  17. Evening All, Just popped in to congratulate Baz and his other half on their anniversary. Goodnight to All.,
  18. @jjb1970, Off topic I know, but do photography restrictions also apply to the MRT system and any other railway instillation I may find?
  19. There also a modification to the Pauli Exclusion Principle, you cant have a hippo and an uneaten cake in a room at the same time.
  20. Afternoon All,(well it is here) On way back to the airport and looking forward to seeing Hovis but I know after a week with little interference from the other one he will also be there to great me. Been an enjoyable but tiring break as three of the days we had to be out of the hotel and on the bus by 8.00am. You may not believe me but our tour, ‘The little trains of the Pyrenees’ was not my choice our friends who we went with choose it. Yesterday we visited the Salvador Dali museum which was ‘interesting’ though im not sure that i actually ‘get it’ I think the tour guides presentation was prepared by @Gwiwerfind, Artybollocks. Com
