  1. Job - very detailed research you will have to visit where I live we still have the odd cobbelled road, there a re even rumours that we may get electricity soon. Nice street is looking good do you want to do the road surfaces on my layout?
  2. The bridge looks great, I bet it will look most impressive when planted on the layout, keep up the good works and the postings
  3. Mikkel Brilliant I have seen some photo's of curved end wagons in LMS livery so some may have survived for quite a while on the GW also? I did some experimenting with red oxide/red lead type paints once and the colour seemed to scale down with a little light weathering
  4. Its looking very good it shoyuld make a great layout when finished, I have always wanted to move up towards O gauge, but for the moment N gauge still holds away but your locomotives look top notch
  5. Ray Im from Widnes, and apart from the well know liverpool retailer, the number of good quality retailers within the local area is rapidly reducing. I have enjoyed reading your blog updates although I model in N gauge now some of the locomotives you have detialed takes me back to some of the 00 models i had as a kid regards Paul
  6. I have heard of many similar instances in the past, the problem is what appears to be a bargain is far too tempting to let go. The thing I have noticed also in my part of the world that even with "express" postage one particular retailer is stilll cheaper than a number of the few remmaining locl traders. I know we can't compare on quality grounds, but remember the days when even Supermarkets sold trains, and every town seemed to have at least one shop that sold some?
  7. Its beginning to look good, you will have to share with us your secret on where you find all the spare time. I still have not got round to starting my M7 into a Johnson 0-4-4t yet,
  8. Well I thought the gresley coaches looked great, and got me thinking I need a couple for my layout, but then you hid the T-gauge until the end, I thnk I could hide an entire layout in that scale quite easily Now time to be devious...........
  9. Thats one of things I need to add to my build list a bock of stables, its amazing how many horses were employed in even the smallest station Nice coashes by the way, admit to having a liking of the GWR, but my LMS interest is stronger....
  10. I think if I tried to solder something as detailed and to scale like that my fingers would be more flamable than the tanks contents
  11. Can you provide a little advise? Im not a member of a model club, but im building a layout that if it was good enough I would like to try and exhibit, how would I go about doing this
