  1. if my layout was anything like yours ~I would be operating it all night and day
  2. please start working in N gauge, I have many LMS loco's I would love to see produced,
  3. you cant be old technology, as for the roster you cant beat a 4F or an Ivatt tank/mogul as you can see from my blog I'm kind of into 4F's at the moment
  4. Good luck with the exhibition, I'm sure you will have a lot of fun, but you will realise this I suspect after the event, I know how difficult it is getting Loco roster's finished
  5. As I have said before its looking great, I love the bridge entry/exit to the fiddle yard I think you have nailed it
  6. I hadn't noticed the spelling, the quality of the modelling kept taking my attention away from it, the steam locomotive in particular is fantastic, if I could only produce one in N
  7. Job As ever brilliant as the for the cutting out of the fabric from the bedding that gives me an idea for my layout and I think I maybe able to get away with it from the boss with a little cunning thinking
  8. Job As ever your eye for detail is fantastic and your models are truly inspiring
  9. I'm very jealous of the scenic work, very realistic and something to aspire to
  10. I will watch your progress with the water with interest as I am close to building the canal on my layout at the moment and there are so many options. Keep up the good work
  11. Sorry to hear about your problems with the backscene, I must admit I use tester pots a lot from the local DIY stores as they are very reasonable and can be used for many other modelling jobs. I always tend to use vry thin fine grain plywood for backscenes as I find the paint sticks to this a lot better, but the experiments I have made with MDF have worked well especially if you gently rub the surface with some fine sandpaper to remove a substance that is sometimes sprayed on the sheets at the production mill. I was given this tip by my local wood merchant Keep up the good work, its looking good
  12. You have one hell of a collection of locomotives, and all to a standard most of us dream of, cant wait for the next update
  13. it puts some of my efforts to shame, I think I have a string of coal wagons to repaint and weather again. Keep up the good work
  14. I will be keen to see how the scenery progresses as I have been putting of this aspect of my layout for a while
  15. The chip shop is amongst the shops part way down the road as you head towards the cemetery,
  16. Tell me about it I went to Liverpool the other week from Widnes station, and I could not believe that the fields I remember are now just advancing housing estates, On my way to work the other day I was surprised to find the odd hidden relic of the railways that crossed the town in the long distant days. I may wander up Derby round over the weekend to have a look and visit the great chip shop too
  17. Very impressive keep the blog updates comiing
  18. Ray as ever a brilliant blog, and the photo of the 4F running tender first in my home town is very inspirational and perfect timing as I have a 4F waiting back dating into LMS livery for my layout, so I may number it as the Widnes loco. Brilliant thanks.
  19. The compound is excellent, all I need to do now is find an N gauge version to add to my fleet
  20. you could say your work is "coming up roses" sorry I could not resist, but the tree looks brilliant, you will haver to put a post up next about 2mm Squirrels
  21. As always truly inspirational, cant wait to see the next instalment
