  1. Trust me having experience of production in China nothing is ever easy, and things can very easily become "lost". I have to Admit Ray that the improvements so far had taken the model to a new higher level. I can believe though that 00 modellers are having to put up with moulded details on RTR locomotives again, when we N gaugers are actually having models in which these things are a thing of the past.
  2. It certainly highlights to me how much space we N gauge lads have compared to the 2mm fraternity, I think with my sausage fingers I may keep to the coarser scale. I agree though more updates on the chassis building would be fantastic keep up the excellent work
  3. even though they are buzz boxes I have to agree total superb
  4. The more postings I read from of your layout the more envious I get, it certainly put us chaps with simple roundy roundy layouts to shame. The Bachmann model looks a cracker if only they were available in N gauge
  5. Its a big decision and I'm keen to learn what you decide on this subject. I have considered the 2mm FS route myself but with 50 plus loco's and steam to boot it think the cost would be prohibitive for me. I even considered going DCC but the same economic argument still hit me Who said modelling was easy?
  6. If you weren't so far away and it was nearer completion I would offer my layout as a possible inclusion?
  7. Jeremy how are the fingers? If I had to solder that much handrail I would have set at least 3 on fire by now.
  8. totally out of my chosen era but brilliant modelling especially the complex livery, another reason I tend to model black engines, far easier.

Job regardless, its still some brilliant modelling, as I have a liking of "holy water" (only the Irish kind) I find it very difficult to keep it in the bottle never mind the crate or barrel
  11. as ever just excellent truly excellent
  12. I remember trying to make of the Airfix kits when I was younger, that and endless Spitfires
  13. As an N gauger the Std 5 looks brilliant put my attempts to weather locomotives to shame, I may have to try your ink method
  14. looks good to my LMS tainted eyes
  15. truly inspiring models, the product of a real craftsman
  16. I bet they looked impressive in crimson, puts the boring green GWR tanks to shame
  17. wow, wow, wow brilliant work it puts us N gauge lads to shame
  18. don't sell them keep them, I must admit to having a collection of 3 rail myself and I'm constantly thinking about a layout, I have even a plan for installing a picture rail in the living room, which obviously will have a circuit running around it. I have a thing for Duchess locomotives so I have in the past bought a few rough versions to re-build/restore I nearly have as many as the LMS had, just need to get enough time now to pass them through the workshops
  19. I cant just about remember the blue days(as I'm barely old enough lol) and this layout is bringing back memories
