  1. Also with the glazing, I used the clear plastic packaging from a wills kit, cut to size glued in with a beading of glue n glaze, once dried, filled in the recess with glue n glaze up on end until dried clear. Had trouble with sinkage previously.
  2. Andrew, I finally got one of your anglia kits finished....
  3. Well I actually nodded the front end by scratch building light clusters and using bi colour towels LEDs and smd LEDS. Really couldn't live with the Bachmann front end! The lack of toplight was sacrilege!
  4. Well I have fitted the DRS 32 pin socket next to the high intensity light, nose ariel's and altered the taillights to represent the LED versions. A set of PH Designs screen etched would finish it off nicely. I'm halfway through reworking one into Avro Vulcan and plan on doing 407. As you say, you cannot do these with the Accurascale 37s, with the lack of bodyside windows. Have 402, 409 and 423 pre ordered. Remembered that 401 never worked the Anglia Short Set, done too much to it to alter it, hence selling. Yes I like DRS 37s!
  5. There may be scope for some Bachmann DRS DBSO fronts as they have totally cheaped out on the lighting and have the same light pattern as the Anglia tooling... very dissappointed! However this stuff is groundbreaking! Keep it up!
  6. I have already converted one of these large logo 37/4s to DRS Mary Queen of Scots. Here is a pic partway through the rework.... anyone interested in potentially purchasing it?
  7. Anglia progress bit slow my end, but will ask, where did you get the Rog 47 in the background? Kev
  8. Hi all! Do any fellow modellers have a surplus Bachmann MK2F TSO in blue/grey? I am modelling the Anglia 68 "short set" and have a TSO and BSO, reworked, but just need that 2nd TSO. If anyone can help me out with this, would be appreciated. Willing to pay a reasonable price for one. Thanks all! Kev (Melton Works)
  9. Looking the part so far! These 3d printed kits are a real gamechanger!!
  10. I dont know what's been going on with the website, this is the first time I have been able to get on it. Have to say that it's looking spot on so far! Will sort out the DRS DBSO as soon as I can, but here is where I am at so far. Kev
  11. Just proves that it can be done and Hornby release the same old tat, no more than a renumber for ridiculous money! I wish Fran and all at Accurascale for being able to produce top quality stuff for a very competitive price. The tooling is on par, ok better, than the Bachmann 47, but compare the price. Well done Accurascale!! Just need an HST Announcement at a reasonable price....
  12. No rush, but would love to model a couple of decent Hornby Anglia Dbsos and of course will do a step, by step on here. I'm definitely wont be rushing out to pre order a new Bachmann one anyway!
  13. That looks spot on! If you could produce a couple of these, that would be excellent! Kev
  14. Here's one I made earlier based on the Bachmann model and PH Designs etches
  15. You mean something like this Charlie?...
  16. I only ever use aerosol and produce some excellent results. Years of practice!
  17. Sorry Andrew, seemed to miss that one regarding the paint. Well for the end that is Railmatch Warning Panel Yellow, and for the bodyside, Renault Royal Blue. Not 100% match, but close.
  18. These DBSOS are going to be outstanding! I know Bachmann have announced the Anglia DBSO, however I would love to have a bash at one, so was wondering if you were likely to produce some of these yourself? These are the best 3d printed examples I have seen, other than Pete Harvey's excellent etches, which are great to work with, think you are really on to something here! Been a bit busy with other projects, but will keep you updated with the DRS DBSO as time allows. Keep up the excellent work! Kev
  19. Well, the DRS DBSO is coming on nicely. Really impressed with the detail! Here is where I am now.... Will keep you updated
  20. These look excellent! I have converted several DBSO'S in Anglia, NR and DRS using PH Designs etches, with excellent results. I have just purchased one of these kits on Ebay and really looking forward to giving this a bash! The prints appear to incorporate the fine wind deflectors etc, that you could never get with previous whitemetal kits. Excellent job.... watch this space!
