  4. No matter what Peco should be applauded for making a start in what could be potentially a new range to satisfy British based practice. Peco must have one of the largest data bases of information on track sales and are rightly judging that time is right to improve the 00 offerings. We have seen the advancement of RTR locos Carriages and Wagons over the last 25 years and now the track is set to improve. It will not be exact and the rivet counters will have there field day. But the ordinary modeler will have the chance to put down a more realistic form of trackwork. I feel that suitable pointwork will happen. Its the advancement in 3D design and rapid 3D prototyping that helps any manufacture and I am sure that Peco have taken this onboard. It may well be that the potential for the C&L 00 ready made point has made Peco advance its plans. Maybe in the future the likes of Bachmann and Hornby will buy in Peco 00 trackwork for there sets instead of producing there own. Could we see eventually better scale N gauge track and dare I say it EM gauge from Peco. Keith HC
  5. and for great fools and minds alike. How about the site of German car carrier wagons departing on HS1 with Astras for export coals to Newcastle. Picture seen on Railcam FB page yesterday. This could be a new option 4mm scale European goods stock. Still getting back to Paul's trackwork. It just looks fantastic and I can't wait to see the new layout and if there ever was a book you have got my order already..... Keith HC

  16. Hi Blackthorn, Going back to your first entry. The scout hut is still there and the bells of st Georges rang this morning as I was having Breakfast. As for the Listers factory it has all been demolished and slowly being replaced with a brown field housing estate. There is a modern cottage hospital that now stands on the site of the former gas works. Keith HC, Dursley
  17. Yes its still there at least earlier today when I drove past. The gallows bridge as it is known is over grown but there is a footpath that crosses the old railway right next door to the bridge. I will get a few pictures in the next couple of days if it helps. Also have a look on this page: http://www.dursleyglos.org.uk/html/dursley/railway/cam_dursley/cam_dursley.htm Keith HC, Just round the corner from the gallows bridge, Dursley

  21. Hi Paul, I have no problems with C&L as I live just up the road. Yesterday I called into the shop and the kit was made up for me on the spot. However the shop was shut today as they are off to the Portsmouth show and need to load the van. But not a problem still have lots to read and digest. For this turnout it will be built off layout as its a trial piece eventually for a fiddle yard. Also toying with idea of re-using some code 75 peco track just cut the sleepers and every four or five glue a piece of plastikard giving the correct gauge. Anybody want a couple of cheap medium radius points never used...... Keith
  22. Looks great Paul and well done. Have got my first A4 turnout kit from C&L so have been following your build with great interest. Off to get some board to build on but have noticed that I have an A vee correct for an A4 but the blades are B have emailed C&L but they are off to the Portsmouth show this weekend. Pity they could have done the Thornbury show instead. Its the small show not the big Bristol one....Also Yesterday my membership of the EM gauge soc arrived as well so lots of reading... Keith HC, Dursley
