  1. I agree, based on the quality of the models produced. However, if that’s the case, it is perhaps a little disingenuous at best for KRM to claim they are bringing “…top quality models to you.” source: https://www.krmodels.net/about/ Best Scott.
  2. Yes fair enough, but what I meant is I’ll watch Rogue One immediately after series 2. Its just the way I roll… Best Scott.
  3. As series 2 of Andor is supposed to feed directly into Rogue One, I’m resisting the urge to watch it until then… Best Scott.
  4. Yes, it’s best to tick them off as you watch, especially if you’re not going to watch every episode in one sitting (!), as you’ll lose track and miss the jumps in the sequence. Ask me how I know… Best Scott.
  5. Okay, if you’re going to watch Clone Wars series’ you’ll need this too: https://www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-the-clone-wars-chronological-episodeorder Best Scott.
  6. This appeared in a feed a long time ago, and your comment, above, reminded me of it. How Social Media works: Me: "I prefer mangoes to oranges..." Random Person: "So basically what you're saying is that you hate oranges? You also failed to mention pineapples, bananas and grapefruits. OMG, educate yourself!." Best Scott
  7. One shall treat that comment with the silence and contempt it deserves 😐 😉 Best Scott.

  9. The "bank robbery" episodes, at the very least, were filmed in Scotland. Cruachan Reservoir to be precise. Regarding the second season, it's ending is supposed to lead into Rogue One, and so there shouldn't be a third series, as currently planned. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought it was intelligent, grown-up and much more like what I wish "Star Wars" had been from the start, which is effectively a children's film where everything has to be explained to the viewer. A good script, very good acting, very little hype and blowing things up for the sake of it. The tie in with the cruciform devices they were making in the penal colony with the final post-credit scene was a lovely touch as well. It wasn't smug or knowing, it was just telling a story. For the record, the gung-ho copper (Alex Ferns) was Scottish and had a Scottish accent. (token Scot, I know). There were holes, particularly if you sit down after the event and give it some proper thought, but there (just about) always are; and at the time of watching it was (mostly) plausible. I'm very much looking forward to series 2. Best Scott.
  10. There are (at least) two Scots pronunciations of Menzies, depending upon what part of the country you are from; Maing-is and Ming-is. Being from Perth, where we tend to elocute a little better, don't you know, I would use the former. Best Scott.
  11. Oh, I do beg your pardon, in that case. And yes, hence acknowledging it was OT. Best Scott.
  12. OT, but just wait until the topic broadens and we get to Mr Dalziel (Dee-ell) and Mr Menzies (Maing-is) from Milngavie...(Mull-guy) 😉 Best Scott.
  13. Why? What did you say to it?…I bet it’s just big boned
  14. Sadly, we’ve heard this so many times before that I’m not sure anyone believes in little whispers anymore. Mind you, it’s like a broken clock telling the right time twice a day. If we say it often enough one of these times it might actually happen…but only by coincidence. Best Scott.
  15. Yes again I don’t disagree. But I think what’s being asked for is joined up thinking. now I know it’s not quite as simple as this, but just as a for instance: Farish know they have a class 40 in the pipeline and it will be ready for release in 3 years time. It will be issued in green and blue liveries and is expected to be a good seller. Because of all of this it might be prudent to schedule a batch or partial batch of maroon and blue/grey coaches. For release at or close to the same time. At least within a year of the class 40. Farish get sales to those waiting on a 40 and those waiting on coaches. AND potentially those new to n gauge who are looking for a ready to roll train to get started. Happy days. Best Scott.
  16. This arrangement gives me good uncoupling reliability, but I think three rows will be what I go with. I confess I don’t get good reliability with the delayed uncoupling, but it’s not something I really need with any of my layouts at present. Best Scott.
  17. With regards your magnets, I think you might get better results if you have the magnets adjacent each other rather than staggered. With the arrangement you have shown in your earlier post, I think you’ve got the arms of each opposing coupling operating at different times rather than together. Best Scott.
  18. I don’t think that’s really in dispute. What is a problem is the length of time between batches. In the case of maroon Mk1s from Farish, about 5 or 6 years. Best Scott.
  19. Are there any images of this layout online? What was it called, do you know? Best Scott.
  20. Possibly not, but just because it may be an issue in other scales ( I don't know I haven't looked) doesn't mean it's less valid in this scale. Best Scott.
  21. Up to a point I don’t disagree with what you’re suggesting. However, why would anyone contemplate starting modelling in N when, yes they can buy a shiny big ticket locomotive but, they can’t buy the vehicles to stick behind it. It’s not conducive to growing nor even maintaining the sector. The thread is going ‘round in circles, as they always do, for which I appreciate I’m as much to blame. best Scott.
  22. I honestly don't think that would be the case. I would suggest that if Farish could issue one new or re-tooled locomotive every twelve or 18 months that would be sufficient for the size of the market, and we wouldn't have ,much cause for complaint. If they could re-issue existing models more often, such as 20s, 25s, 40s, 42s, 47s, Black 5s, Std 5s, (I know it's coming), 8Fs, Princess Coronations, etc., (along with regular supplies of coaching stock, that would go a long way to relieving frustrations. I don't think the issue is really about brand new items. Best Scott.
