  2. Waitrose, who are closing in about 8 weeks have raised the price of Jordans Granola cereal by 21p a pack.  That is some huge transport cost rise that is being passed on.

    Are they having a giraffe?

Strangely Co-op have it at the old price.

Yes Bill, I'm absolutely with you regarding Mr Suchet's presentation. There are few presenters that have the skill to appear to be personally addressing the listener. On Classic, Anne-Marie Minhall does pretty well and in the pop sphere, Peter Waters Dingley (Johnnie Walker) and the late John Peel excelled. Personally, I would not argue with the contents of the top of this chart, maybe a little tweaking of the order but so what.

His brothers voice is similar and he also has a mincing walk in those spats.

  6. Rick, dry roasting potatoes can be as tasty as fat/grease/oil roasted.

Parboiling, draining, salting the spuds and then putting the lid on the pan and shaking violently, then placing in a baking tin in the oven always produces good looking tasty roasties. Never had any complaints.

  7. Woke up today to some 6 or 7 hugely offensive Facebook posts.  An ex manager (a very good one) died a month or so ago.  Overnight her Facebook account posted these offensive messages. I reported 3 or 4 of them by different methods to FB. I eventually received a reply from her young daughter who then deleted them.

Who in their right mind hacks a deceased persons account and then uses the c word multiple times in multiple messages whilst simultaneously slagging all and sundry off?

Lovely and hot here today in sunny Teignmouth.  People streaming down to the beach all morning.

Stone wall building took place before the sun moved round the bungalow.  I got 7 rocks cemented in place.  A bit unsure of the consistency of the mix, it was a bit dry at first and a bit wet by the time I finished.  Hopefully it will do.  About 5 more rocks to cement in tomorrow.

  8. Twas warm here today in sunny Teignmouth.

I prepped some rocks to cement on to my terraced garden wall, tomorrows job.

2 washing loads done and dried in about 5 mins (maybe a tad longer but it felt damned quick).

Planted a Mimosa tree, Acacia Dealbata, a few days ago.  So watering twice daily at the moment.  Tomorrow I must find a place for an Acer and a cherry tree.
