  1. Um, it's now signed Taff... TVR loco anyone?
  2. If you were to put water tanks on the body of an A4, where would you put them?

A well tank between the frames maybe?

You could fix them using those two holes down the side.

RE 11B, I had that idea too as it'd mean the streamlining could be left 'as is'

  3. Ah, no there'll be a picture somewhere of a lamp just like that sitting in exactly that position as a WD arrived from the north in the 50's
  4. This looks really interesting - mostly as I plan to do this in the future!
  5. At the very least it gives us BR modellers who, let's say 'stretch' the lives of certain classes, own one in an authentic livery which it actually carried without having to respray it ourselves
  6. I really hope they explain these riddles
  7. After all this excitement about Radials and how this is almost certainly one of them, it would make me laugh if this turns out to be something completely different!
  8. Ahh, the joy of multi-lingual signs...
  9. Thanks. It's not unfortunately - or fortunately as my layout isn't DCC! Like an absolute clot, I've just managed to lose the tender drawbar (hence the topic in 'Modelling help and tips') so if anyone has any ideas I'd be open to them!
  10. The Stirling has returned! I might try to get a running vid up soon, but for now here are some pics. A big shout out to David of Custom Models for doing the work
  11. Sorry about the lack of updates. I decided that there was no point in updating after each of the four coaches was finished, so I decided to wait until they're all finished (bar transfers which should be bought at Warley) until putting any more pics up. As I can't seem to embed the pics, they're at the bottom of the post. I've now started on a program to repaint other items of stock I have lying around which, while not necessarily prototypical, look good to me. As a result, my next set of repaints will be three Hornby 'Thomas and Friends' "James's coaches" which while the wrong length look like GWR Collet coaches so when I get the transfers I think they'll be numbered as WR coaches and put in a cross-country rake coming off the GCR. I've only done one side of the brake coach, but have included pictures of before and after to show roughly what it looks like. Annoyingly, the pics have come out lighter than the coaches are in real life - they do look better in the flesh!
  12. Only 2 hours of school today. Bliss

  13. Says a lot about my day that the most exciting thing that happened was getting a new duvet cover and matching pillow case

So this duvet cover and matching pillow case made your day because it was a matching duvet cover and pillow case whereas before you didn't have a matching duvet cover and pillow case but you do now have a duvet cover and matching pillow case :D

  14. The website I need to go on to get my homework off has just decided that it's going to break and that to click on anything you need to click about 5cm above it. The login bar is at the very top of the page, so you can't. :(

  15. Why would anyone buy a train pack off Amazon which has a completely different picture to what it's advertising?
  16. Now, main question - is that anywhere near the food so I can slip away from my Grandad at lunch time to have a look?
  17. Is trying to understand how it takes so long to repaint one small coach
