  1. A lot of the mk1/2 Escort restorations I see on the various Facebook pages are like that, mostly a pile of new panels welded together with very little of the original shell left, some very good quality work going on though. Rob
  2. That looks excellent, a big improvement, are your 3d prints available to buy?. Rob
  3. If you're on Facebook there's some very good pages for East/Yorkshire railways. Will follow progress as its pretty local to me. Rob
  4. And another one today, both Acclaims, same owner and no were not stealing the front grills, he takes them out to make headlight adjustment easier, both passed the MOT no issues. Rob
  5. Been a while since one of these came in,must be a rare car now. Rob
  6. 37264 at Moorgates, mine on the left, friend Tom's on the right.
  7. Class 142,35 years service, lots of liveres, various interior refits, big operational area and currently popular in preservation, probably the most talked about 2nd gen DMU. Rob
  8. Steve has posted on the MIOG Facebook page, he has a Alexander Y type Leyland Leopard,Leyland National 2 and AEC Swift under development. Also has Bedford TK,Atkinson Boarderer and Guy J4 tractor units in development aswell. I know his kits ain't perfect and do take a bit of work but they should prove to be useful. Rob
  9. Yes,but remember who was working there at the time........ Rob
  10. Two of the Boston Frodsham team caught going for another tea refill. Rob
  11. Series 3 Bristol VR would be very useful for many layouts. Rob
  12. Don't see many of these in now, 17k from new and still on its original tyres. Rob
  13. When the feasibility study was done for the YWR it was recommended to start across the road from the original station for several reasons, the station site is now a busy cafe and heavily covered with trees, its also land locked by two roads which would have made expansion very, if not impossible ,due to needing a level crossing. The current location will make it easier to expand, green lane and then Wetwang,as its flat fields to clear. Aswell as the money and materials we obviously have to get permission from Sledmere estate, who then negotiate with the field tenant that they'll be losing a percentage of their land. Wetwang will be the limit of the YWR as the trackbed from there has mostly gone but it will give us manageable line to look after and add a new attraction to the wolds area. Rob
  14. M&DR never had a diesel or DMU work on it,had it stayed open into the 60s I guess it would have, similar to the Scarborough - Whitby line. Burdale tunnel has collapsed in three places now, will only stay open for the bats that live in there. It's also on Birdsall Estate who have made it very clear that they don't want to Yorkshire Wolds Railway extending on their land. Rob
  15. Very enjoyable first day, all smiles from the Boston Frodsham team. Rob
  16. No available just yet but we're very grateful to Phill for the loan of 25324 on Boston Frodsham at this weekends Scalefourm show. The details, finish and sound quality is absolutely stunning, anyone with a pre order you won't be disappointed. Rob
  17. I'm part of the Boston Frodsham team, all packed and ready to go from a currently sunny East Yorkshire, our first visit to Scalefourm and really looking forward to the weekend. Rob
  18. A1 Soviet Spares on Hedon Road,I know the guys who had it,they collected them from all over the UK. The signs on the cars were made and painted by the owners dad who got the Russian sailors to translate them so he spelt them right. Rob
  19. Is a second gen DMU kit something you may consider doing in the future? I'll just leave this here for you........ Rob
  20. No it's complete, Interiors, chassis have already been done but nothing started on the two bodyshells, possibly quite rare as I've never seen another like this. If I've got it correct, this kit is now sold by PRMRP but the bodyshells are now brass with white metal ends. Rob
  21. I've had this class 142 in the too do pile for quite a bit now having bought it off ebay, not sure if it's a Post War Prototype or MMP but the bodies are one piece resin mouldings and very good quality. Rob
  22. Finally I'll get to see this fantastic little layout, see you there. Rob
