There are minus 1 chocolates on the tree since the last time you ate one. Given your current speed all of the chocolates will be eaten by 10pm. Would you like me to place a standing order for chocolates.. -Alexa

Comment here the other day about repainting 59’s caught my eye. Class 59’s are 30+ years old already, though they were bought as a 50 year investment.. oldest SD40-2’s going soon

  7. Thameslink, Crossrail, HS2 - not exactly delivered smoothly to time and budget. So a genuine question: did British Rail do any better on large projects such as the WCML?

If they were fully costed, the cost of the assessment alone would make it uneconomic

All Thameslink services get held at Signals, preserved lines with speed restrictions are faster than Thameslink

My job is to cover / travel all EU countries. Moving the post to inside the EU is hardly coincidence. All the UK team is let go. The new euro HQ in AMS is to be “right sized” for the EU market.. read shrink..so not much confidence in the whole continent. I knew this was inevitable a year ago, so fortunately ive economically planned ahead, but its still a surprise when it hits. Others in my team sadly were neither aware or able to plan.
