If Wayne is up for a tup he might do better on two stroke!

I’m as excited as I was in 1981 when I first saw and bought the Mainline Manor, but now even more so!

Is it easy to revert to a previous firmware version- does the app offer a choice?

1968 at the earliest, I think, on account of the number plate on the Herald.
Spot on : the green GPO vans were rebranded as yellow Post Office Telephones in 1969 and the depicted van doesn’t look new.

That’s so realistic : I was listening for birdsong !

We’ll be happy to.watch the Pigeon and Toads go past slowly while you concentrate on that. It counts as microsurgery and you’ll need to lie down for a bit after that.

I hope the pigeons are proud of their lovely teak van.

Steady on, the pigeon van hasn’t arrived yet. It will probably at 7.30 tomorrow : then we can look forward to toad!

Love the cartoon
The headcode discs on your 517 suggest digital command control.

We know it’s pigeons next but it seems the LNER didn’t have a code name for their van. I’d rather eat pigeon than crocodile though -and the fish is definitely off.

I suspect the prize cattle in the beetle are getting fed up with the smell of fish from the bloater, it gets stronger every day !

That’s still a bit of a hazzard in the winter hours of darkness without any illumination. I wonder if loco crews had a torch.

Another old wreck fell through the letterbox this morning. It runs really well, although both traction tyres are missing. The body is severely cosmetically challenged.
It's going to be a source of spares for the other locos, I'm seriously considering swapping the traction tyre wheels on the 517 for the plain wheels off this wreck to improve pick-up.
Other bits are being parted out for projects or going into the spares stash.
This must be the donor for the chimney screw,

I am reassured that the DCC sound versions will be ready at the same time as the DC model.

It’s ironic that the British put Volkswagen back on its
freetwheels after the war but let the British Motor Corporation rot, due to the power of the trade unions and poor management.- 2

Having served in both World Wars my father used to pretend to spit when he saw a VW go past when I was young. He mellowed a bit in later life when I bought an Audi in the ‘80s.

Delayed gratification indeed !
Apart from confirming Q3 arrival KMC news update includes the helpful information that the sound decoder happily works to a basic level under DC.
I’ve just upgraded my Accurascale Manor order to sound fitted for the same reason , to future proof what will probably be my last locomotive investment and I might be tempted to embrace DCC on my next (downsize) layout

Ploughing engine days are numbered in 1938. Tractors numbers on the increase?
Here we see a steam ploughing engine being collected for we-buy-any-car.

It’s ok - the Meccano bits are in the crate on the lorry. They’ll be ready in no time !

That’s ginchy! What is the country pile in the background of the Vauxhall ad? Is this the inspiration for owning such a car!

In student days , South London, my 1958 Morris 1000 convertible was popular for pub visits - with the hood down we managed seven standing ( and singing). That was before breathalysers and seat belts of course. The engine was adequate for the job !

No chance of being chastised in this medium - it’s only read by transport police.
