About time too young man, excellent stuff as always Phil :sungum: However, i do believe your underselling yourself here aren't you because if I remember correctly I don't believe to have bought any 50's recently especially not any with black roofs that are currently available...........Now how many more of these fine machines have you got to show us

60096 went through Willaston effortlessly this evening on the Baglan logs, seemed to be flying although I guess the speed was emphasised with it being dark, sounded fab -

So having rescued the down sleeper the power cars returned to Plymouth on the 1145 Penzance T&RSMD - Laira T&RSMD. Pictured here at Par

I did a day return from Crewe yesterday for that........doh. But never mind I did get some nice pictures of the Cornish scene that I'll post later including the power cars returning light and then being pushed into service from Plymouth to Paddington. Also if anybody knows Chris in the Par box, what a lovely bloke, professional with his job but full of interesting information to me with regards to myself understanding signalling. If you do know him pass on my regards please

It's usually in the yard when I've gone past but fortunately on the 5th July 2015 it was opposite the station at Bescot, 08 907 -

Sadly I have no recollection of Thornaby depot at all (despite going there once) and can't picture it but if you go to all the effort to demolish something to the ground and clear the debris why then leave 2 08's in the middle of it all. It's looks a very sad sight anyhow but the 08's there just seem to make the scene even more abhorrent. It not even like they were close to anything for being stripped for spares. Yes, sorry very but I've had my rant now and hopefully Phil can supply us with an 08 to inspire me next time -
Not as clear as I would really like but the light isn't being kind to me this year and being the wrong side of 21st June it's not going to get any better, however approaching Willaston Crossing (Near Crewe) just past 21:00 tonight is 60085 on the 15:24 Baglan Bay - Chrik logs. I should have perhaps just upped the ISO a tad more, the shot I got about 0.5 seconds earlier is a bit clearer but a little too far away with my 50mm lens combined with the good speed the 60 seemed to be making. Very fine line dusk photography isn't it!!!!! Loco and livery still look fab though don't they........ Edited with camera setting info

Playing with my new camera and a million and one different settings I was quite happy with this one earlier today at Casey Lane, South of Crewe 66750 on 6G64 08:00 Liverpool Bulk Tml - Ironbridge Power Station Although maybe this one 66145 on the 04:30 Avonmouth Hanson Sidings - Clitheroe Castle Cement is slightly more artistic? -

I'm loving the guards van tucked away at the edge of the picture.......wouldn't really be expecting to see one of them in bauxite next to a departmental grey tractor -

If it's political just tell me to shut up but just wondered why the Carlisle logs usually in the hands of a 66 need replacing with a 60. I can understand the reliability issues of the 56's on the Exeter/Baglan Bay services needing replacement but the 60 on the face of it seems a little extreme.......lol!!!!!!!
