  1. "Looks wonderful, Simon." ..... and it is - well up to the standard expected of both Author and Publisher - the other one featuring a contentious photo of Barmouth on the cover ain't that bad either Graham Woodruff
  2. Hi Matt Just received my "Industrial Loco's in Preservation..." To confirm that quality and print/delivery/despatch are first class! Just about to order a couple more - keep them coming - Graham Woodruff

  5. What wallet - mine's just gone into meltdown

  6. Stunning -so much open space - just by the way - where did the barge come from?
  7. Just wondering why, having spent a long weekend in Somerset, I failed to find any railway remains at Catcott, Combwich, or even Berrow - lovely places, great pubs, but no s****** railway - at least I found Midsomer Norton

I'm sure that CK will advise on the extent of the archaeology, but go back in Autumn with a large box for the blackberries.

But when we went to Combwich we found we could imagine a railway there

I work in a civil service mapping department and once spent quite some time trying to work out why i couldn't find a line (disused or otherwise) from Buckingham to Leighton Buzzard via Granborough!

  8. Just off to Hallatrow - 2 nights at the 'Old Station Inn' - hoping for 3ft of snow once we have arrived

The Bookbarn just up the road may have a selection of second hand railway titles...

  9. Brilliant - many thanks for this - now to mangle some brass! GRW184
  10. "As I've bored you all before with my 48DS builds..." Personally, I would use the word enlightened, anyway, could you possibly bore us again in as much detail as you are able? - pics - diags - whatever - particularly on what techniques/former you use to roll the bonnet... I have 2 of these to start before the Judith Edge kit turns up Many Thanks - GRW184
  11. Just received my RSU from London Road - lovely piece of kit - many thanks to them - now to burn some brass full of holes!

Start on a low setting and work up.

      They are indeed very good.

  12. Robert Many Thanks for the quick delivery of my Ruston 48DS chassis.... Ordered Sunday night, Postie just got drenched walking up the drive about an hour ago!!! Thanks also for the detailed instructions - I've had much less with complete kits (love the way the brake blocks are done - maybe you could do a full etched sheet of these?) Brilliant - now to the workbench Best Regards Graham Woodruff GRW184

    Model Rail Sentinel

Mine arrived a few days ago, but tonight was the first chance to test - dug out and cleaned an old yard of Peco, dusted off the Gaugemaster controller - unused for over a year, lubricated, connected up - <around 45 seconds> to cover the yard of track with <little or no> hesitation - now, after a couple of hours simmering on the rolling road it is virtually a silent runner. This worries me - I have got the Ultrascale EM conversion pack, but seriously wondering whether I should bother - may just stay with 00 if this is the quality of r-t-r to come Congratulations to Dapol on this for a very reasonable price Now must wait for the Heljan Railbus! 14. GRW184 - Just worked out how much I spent at Scalefourum
