    It's 3:38 BST and the first insomniac birds are beginning to twitter on the longest day!

     

    Sunrise is another 45 minutes off....

      Bit late that dear Hroth; some loud things around here tweeting at 03.00.....have been for some time. Robin and Blackbird over territory it seems?

      Took a little time for the bu@@ers to wake me up, then it took ages trying to get back to sleep, hence being here at such an ungodly hour!

      I stirred some time in the early hours of this morning, birds were singing but I could also hear something else musical.

       

      Wasn't sure if it was my imagination, the tv on downstairs (adult youngest never sleeps at night) or someone outside playing music.   It was at the edge of my hearing capabilities, but decided not to investigate as that would involve proper waking up.
