  1. Thanks for the reply, I shall drop you a PM to see if you would welcome an extensive of freight/departmental for 2019 - though this might split the vote further and make those listed (eg. MENTOR) look less attractive to a RTR manufacturer? As for the Class 88, is it bit of a myth to say they are the same as the Class 68. Yes, in general terms the body is the 'same' as the class 68, yet the positioning of grills is different for the brake resistor cones and would not match a 68 chassis where they have been slotted into. Naturally, the roof has a totally different arrangement bar the obvious pantograph. I would doubt this can be over come by putting in new slides, a new body would be easier. The bogies have several differences, yet I shall not list as I shall be accused of being a rivet counter (which I assure you I am not! I have listed the differences over on the relevant thread here/or the Digest).Plus your under frame bits are different. Basically a new model in this "electrics do not sell" myth. The first 755/4 is "en route" and should be here in the coming month. First passenger service is planned for Aug/Sept 2019. A rather tight acceptance schedule, especially with Brexit uncertainty (I know the Swiss are not in the EU, but they are in the EEC and thus difficulties ahead). I know less about the class 745, all I know it shall be first in passenger service on the Airport Expresses. I must of mis-read the very interesting 'The Guide' as in you do not know when it shall be delivered, yet you have listed it. Anyway, I would be - as per the class 88 - gobsmacked if a RTR model was not forthcoming. As for wagons, I fully understand there is an endless range of them, I shall drop you a PM and see how I can help.
  2. Really wonderful to see the poll back, I enjoy reading the results as much as taking part. I am a little 'confused' over a few items listed/missing. - class 88? Was this missed as assumed to be a Dapol product? Certainly not announced, and I would of liked to have wished this locomotive. - class 755 (& 745 though a different formation/body). Guide mentions they shall be included, yet I cannot find them. I would of liked to have wished these Stadler units. They are very different and interesting to the network. - IIA-A wagons for MRL, Cemex, DB and GBRf. Very similar to Dapol's HIA yet these have a longer body and thus new tooling. - other box wagons used by MRL. - London Underground wagons to run with the 1964-73 Battery Locomotives. Naturally Dapol's Turbot could be modified to cover the SB wagons. Yet the GP wagons would be new tool and ideal to run with a Battery Locomotive. - MENTOR and SGT are listed, yet the more useful Ultrasonic coaches are not. Yes, Britannia Pacific Models produce the UTC coaches (as per the MENTOR - released last month). Yet these are brass hand built and not RTR manufactured in China.
  3. I must say, bravo to Bachmann! They have tooled the DRS Multi-working socket! If only they would tool up 37/6 noses!
  4. Surprised not mentioned here, the next batch of 37 Rep Limited Editions are here, mine, 37425 is currently with DPD and shall arrive tomorrow morning!
  5. No white on the LNER 800/801s. If all goes to plan, Agility East fleet shall be in passenger service with LNER this December (date ping-pongs between 04/12 and 17/12) - just before Hornby 2019 announcements. Only danger being, is if LNER adjust the livery once in service due to maintenance/performance (GWR altered and hence why Hornby 800004 is just wrong livery wise). There are differences to the trailer cars on the class 745 and 755s, but the driving motor cars are the same (so is the power pack car). The 745s are a series of two 'married couples' forming a 12 coach train (itself a permanently formed 2x6 car train). The FLIRT UK for TfW are 'near' identical to the AGA sets, in that the TfW units have additional set of doors on the driving cars. Should be easy to put in a different door/window arrangement slides?
  6. And as a semi-regular on the London based crew Pullman, I can only say they are one of the friendliest teams on the railway network. I always have a very enjoyable journey, with excellent food and interesting company. I have not in the years I have used the Pullman seen any staffing issues, in-fact, it has basically been the same crew for many years. I highly recommend anyone travelling, to try the Pullman experience.
  7. GWR utter nonsense, but, yes DB/Alliance are taking on some Mk4s and 91s from Eversholt for their Open Access service between Blackpool and Euston. Additionally, you have the Mk4s transferring over to the N/S Wales loco-hauled services. East Midlands is looking a strong possibility too for the Mk4s.
  8. Yep, should be publicly revealed soon (and naturally in passenger service from December). This has been announced by Flangeways who have commissioned Dapol. Progress seems slow, yet when asked at Ally Pally they are still planning on releasing them. Eventual Ospreys too.
  9. Why would Hornby produce a livery that lasted for just over 3 months? Surely, if you wanted more limited editions to match Paddington Bear, you would go for one of the named GWR 800/0s. Of course, more likely shall be a main range LNER livery!
  10. Hi, it would be wonderful to hear whether Bachmann have said where the 20/3 is, along with the WiFi modules to the GWR 158 and the 150/2. I suspect the 150/2 delivered in 2018 referred to the ATW? God that 158 tooling looks good! Did you take any photos of the 90s in their livery sample. Most interested to see how authentic the pantograph is looking.
  11. Thank you Andy Y. You mentioned the class 150/2 is being delivered in 2018, did Bachmann confirm whether they are adjusting to tooling to accommodate the toilet modification (missing small window) and WiFi modules to the roof? The class 158 looks terrific! Did Bachmann say whether they have tooled the additional WiFi modules to the roof of the GWR (and any current future livery) version? Was there any report on the status of the Class 20/3? Surprised and slightly saddened for the hobby by seeing Bachmann have not taken the opportunity to put Hatton's straight and announce a re-tool of the class 66 as rumoured. Rather chuffed with 37025 as a limited edition! Just need some Network Rail test coaches out of the Mk2F tooling!
  12. That sounds very promising! I think I can say now (whilst expectantly waiting to see), that the Bachmann photo was rather uninspiring. Seeing that the Class 117 (something I have no interest in) looked specular in person, I have no doubt that the Class 158 shall be to the same impression. Looking forward to some decent photos If I have been lead to believe right, we might be in for a surprise or two at 16.00.
  13. Pretty much the same the 802/0, 802/2 & 802/3 with the 800/0 that Hornby offer. If you scroll back a few pages, you shall find a useful table I produced for this occasion. Main differences with all 802 - 5 car (for the model - prototypes have more differences!) is the roof radiators/resistors for the dynamic braking. Additionally, as mentioned before here by myself, the 802/2 has a smaller kitchen - this impacts the model as the DTPF on Hornby 800/0 holds the motor, which takes up the three blanked out windows of the kitchen in the prototype. The 802/2 only has two blanked out windows- thus the motor on a possible model would show. Perhaps (dreaming here) if Hornby were to tweak the 800/0, they could develop a low floor motor and install a working DCC controlled pantograph....
  14. Did anyone attend todays Press Event and happen to get a decent photo of the Class 158? I have searched all the magazines social media and many model shops - nothing. Was the 31st Aug event cancelled?
  15. These are livery samples, with the very PR stating the liveries are subject to revision. Thus yes, the TPE shall be tweaked before delivery. You shall note that 68019 in prototype form has the vossloh badge that the livery sample is missing too. I am sure by Q4 we shall be delighted (as ever) with these wonderful models.
  16. GWR 143s are confirmed to be staying until December 2019. So that is a year and a half to get some new liveries on the 143. I’d certainly have a GWR one as the last hoarah to one of Britain’s most successful (for its design) multiple units.
  17. Whilst they are painting models, any chance of a few in Greater Anglia white? All shall be replaced my the Flirts from next year so keen to have one before they are gone!
  18. Exciting to see these coming together, I am eagerly expecting them. You know I do like a good LN25 bogie!
  19. Sorry I was not implying anything clandestine or confidential for us mere customers. Just the Press Day seems to be a day full of information, must of it interesting if you find the wider modelling hobby....interesting. Perhaps a live feed or a video from the day would address many questions. As usually rmwebbers have to ask questions on here afterward and those members of the press, who attended and kind enough to share, tell us a few more details. So nothing top secret, just it sounds interesting as I find the hobby interesting (hence why model trains is one of my hobby’s). I missed the better resolution photo of the class 158 (I did mean to ask Dennis myself but forgot). Yet in this day and age, the highest resolution possible should be used. We all have fibre broadband and retina screens, this is what it looks like on an iPad: (I hate to sound a grump, yet the photo does not wow me. Not in terms of the model - clearly it shall be brilliant - yet in terms of photography. I know photos taken on the press day\seen in person shall wow me.)
  20. If this helps, I have spoken with Dapol recently and they do plan more Megafrets in the near future.
  21. As Mr Oliver Rail's did not want to say, Bachmann have themselves said: http://news.Bachmann.co.uk/2018/07/class-37s-arriving-soon/ Most excellent news, wonderful to get a minor re-tool to allow some modern variation. 37057 next, Bachmann???
  22. Interesting. Have Bachmann reduced prices for the upcoming 37s? I have 37425 on pre-order (rrp £169.95) - all be it in DRS livery. Or is this a Rails promotion?
  23. Shall there be updates to your mailing list, as I keep forgetting to check this page on here. Depending when in the UK, I might have to update my address. Yet I might not! Email updates would be extremely helpful whenever updating here too
  24. Wow sounds awesome! (Minus the horns as mentioned above - though surely you dont have to plan a horn on departure?). I think I shall be getting this for 800010, even through the recording is from a class 802. I do not see how it would make much of a difference at a scale such as this.
  25. Sorry, an odd choice. Perhaps as a limited edition, yet as a main catalogue release I do not understand. It would of been successful 5 years ago. DCR does not operate its own locomotives anymore.
