The above page popped up whilst I was browsing the thread below just a few minutes ago.  I think this is the only time it's popped up whilst reading a thread - the other times were when I wasn't actively browsing.

i've had this twice in the last few days on my chromebook.

  2. According to a small piece in todays "Daily Bugle" the Visa Cash App Red Bull team will probably be known as the VCARB team; sounds better provided you can put it to the back of your mind what it actually stands for.

  3. Hello.

I use RMWeb on a laptop and a PC. If I've been on the laptop and then use the PC I find I am logged out on the PC, and trying to log in means my password isn't recognised and I have to reset it, which I do using my original password and my PC then works. I am then logged out on the laptop, and have to go through the same process on there, again using my original password, and the cycle then continues. It's been doing this for ages, any ideas why?

    Regards.

I believe my 08 has got either V3 or V3.5 decoder, is there any suppliers that supply 100 0hm speakers?

If its one of the earlier Hornby ones with a Loksound 3.5 it has a small rectangular speaker behind the radiator grille, they never sounded very good because the back of the speaker wasn't enclosed. Does yours still work or do you just want to improve it?

    Hi All

I’ve got several locos in my collection that have ESU sound decoders. From V3 to V5 can you tell me the ohm value for the speaker’s for each of the decoders because I can’t remember?

    100 ohm for v3 & v3.5, 4-8 ohm for v4 & v5

  6. I use the tracked 48 because I haven't a printer, and the post office prints a label from a bar-code on my phone. I presume I can't use the collect option because I suppose I would need to have printed a label for the postie? Is this correct?

Try resetting the Cv but if the problem persists then unfortunately the motor driver may be burnt out yet the chip will still produce sounds.

I have a couple of chips like this and they can still be used if you are top and tailing or double heading with a dummy loco.

You can also use it with another decoder that just drives the motor (2 chips in one engine.) I had a Loksound that didn't drive, and another with the sound burnt out; I combined the 2 and got 1 working loco from 2 half duds.

  8. I saw him years ago at York Railway Museum where he was on his own with a Hornby stand. I asked him what sort of a day he was having. "A good one, I haven't upset anyone yet" he said. My reply was "You're not trying man, put some effort into it!" I got a big grin.

He will be missed, I hope his replacement (who in all likelihood will be younger) doesn't follow Bachmann's lead and seem to forget about the vast pool of steamy things in preference to the coffin shaped things. Let's not replace a "Kohler" with an "Oiler".

    All the best Simon.

    Regards.

    A Well-wisher.

  9. You can remove the decoder but don't cut the wires close to the decoder so that you can put them on eBay and get some pennies back. If it's just a simple loco (no lights etc) then it's just 2 wires from the pickups to the motor.
