Some people have negativity issues, they cannot see difference been trying to be informative and complaining.

gladly I can, so it is not my issue.

but as if offends, I will remove mine.

now have a cup of tea, turn off the bbc and relax, eh ?

Apologies.  I do not mean to cause offence. Your comment is quite sincere, no need to remove.  Just having a h-angry moment where blood sugar levels need restoring.  All your advice + biscuit being put into action!

Comparison between a A4 Tender and P2 Tender. RCTS mentions the sizes diferences as well.

The old "make it look bigger if you give it a haircut" routine, eh?

Dimension change was to do with design of previous corridor type being carried across to non corridor tender.   Aparently 2001's tender tank was manufactured by Metropolitan-Vickers at Trafford Park.

    One for:

    https://www.booklaw.co.uk/booklaw-publications/lner-loco-tender-numbering-great-central-group-tender-allocations.html

Very intersting articles on the tenders for the A4s, (something so simple as to what had which tender  = really complicated!)

    has some info relevant:

    https://www.sirnigelgresley.org.uk/mob-tenders.shtml

and (search for GROUP STANDARD 5000 GALLONS), some reference to the P2 tender numbers, type etc

BTW nice job on that paintwork

The 89 looked absolutely fantastic, even in its naked form. So looking forward to this one.185156D3-647B-4679-82C5-A085D33E2D3B.jpeg.813557edf0f1de88f74470c1b69d2cbc.jpeg

Although there is something disturbing about this one...  That small man in the red jumper hovering above that gentlebadger, defying gravity - puts me right off...

Full samples on both our own and Rails’ stand at Warley next weekend. I’m biased naturally, but it looks very, very tasty indeed. Well worth a look if you’re in the Birmingham area.

    Cheers!

    Fran

Gutted I can't get there this year.  If anybody reading this who is: going to Warley, has a camera, and is feeling kind, please please take some pictures of the class 89 and post on RMweb.  And any other choice yummy-yummy Accurascale goodies. Ta muchly!  Hope you folks have a great show!

A/S are probably trying to give the competition a discreet message, and Fran being a perfectionist got the Brasso out to polish em!

    Case solved....

I don't want to come across as being too forward, but those are some very nice nuts you have there(!)

I think I might just ***cough*** here.

    now for the whale…

If we are waving our sheds around, I might reveal i’ve got more than DRS, and Colas combined. I just bought 5 this week, admittedly I feel a bit like Harry Needle… when it comes to recycling them… I like the challenge of fixing them up and passing them on…ive sold around a dozen.

Five Class 66s is a lot? Oh dear!  😇

I don't even model "modern" yet have more than five Class 66`s. All Bachmann. Well over 20 Class 47s of various makes. Similar number of 37s.

That's not including all the other classes that I have in double figures. Worth remembering many of us have been doing this thing for many decades and we aren't all impoverished children getting one model each year from Santa.

    Jason

You guys must give your fleet engineers a headache managing engineering changes on all that lot!

Modelling  modern freight trains is tricky...

Is this what they mean by "multiple units"???

  8. @Graham_Muz @Kernow MRC

not sure if it is just me, but the web link for the fully lined sound fitted goes to the wrong version:

    K2305SF GWR Steam Railmotor Dia. O Number 61 Sound Fitted (GWR Fully Lined Chocolate & Cream 1903 - 1908) £299.99 (£289.99 for pre-orders)

    has this link:
    https://www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com/p/79048/K2304SF-GWR-Steam-Railmotor-Diagram-R-number-85-GWR-Crimson-Lake

    This is the correct link:

    https://www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com/p/79049/K2305sf-DJ-Models-GWR-Steam-Railmotor-number-61-in-GWR-Choc-Cream

    Lovely looking models btw! 👍

16/11/2022: This now appears to be fixed.

    https://www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com/pg/144/KMRC-Locomotive---GWR-Steam-Railmotor

  9. Question: has anybody ever fitted a strain gauge on the coupling or used back emf from the motor to allow the digital decoder to measure train load?  An application of this would be to vary the output from a sound fitted locomotive so that when it is under load: you get the sound to match. Just an idea...

Motion bracket is different and the cover over the smokebox door is removed. Not sure about cab plumbing.   I'm away for a few days so can't take photos at present.

Thank you.  Extra plumbing would be for seperate feed for the injector, I think on RHS on the back of the backhead instead of coming off the central manifold.  No worries on the picture.
