  1. Some more progress on Porth Nadolig, not too much visual progress but all the point motors finally work, two of the four would only work in one direction. No idea what was wrong with one, totally stripped from the board and wired in an independent circuit with the same wires and it worked, refitted and it worked. The other turned out was some damaged peso wiring looms. Anyway all works now. So beside that, progress since last time is the building have had windowsills and window frame added and some quoins added to them. Canal boat arrived and given a base coat of black.
  2. Castle No. 5015 'Kingswear Castle' is prepped for a turn on 'The Bristolian'.
  3. The push fit destination boards are a fantastic little extra in my opinion!
  4. Thats interesting, it definitely did fade to purple but I was looking at photos from a charter with it no long after it was outshopped. The colour n the model looks good to me!
  5. At first I thought the crimson was a bit red but having had another look at my photos of 93 I'd say, like eddiethedog has, it is actually spot on.
  6. Fresh out of the box, two Railmotors call at Cwm Bach.
  7. Fantastic models and worth the wait! Quick photos outside at lunch.
  8. Princess Coronation 'City of Salford' being prepped to haul 'The Royal Scot' this afternoon.
  9. A shot from my little seen 'West Street' diorama, possibly pushing the limits of what can go in this topic as it's clearly low relief and mainly ready to plant items. This was built at new year last year but hasn't been out much at all. I got too involved in planning and building Tanyglaslyn. Andrew Barclay 'Tiger' eases out of the works yard.
  10. Agreed, if it's not photoshopped in (which if it is it's been done very well) and if it's not it's probably the best modelling of water I seen!
  11. Havng escaped from the confines of the quarry on my Avalon shed set up, 'Holy War' drifts away from a water stop at Tanyglaslyn.
  12. What a shame, I went to many of them but a stand out for me was 2022 when there just seemed to be a buzzing atmosphere of "we're back modelling after the pandemic", always a great show for bumping into friends and catching up. Also a great show with the foreign societies there on mass like the Swiss and Austrian societies. So Thank-you to the Warley club for all their years of putting up with the stresses and strains of putting such a big show on for all our enjoyment and letting so many of us play trains in huge numbers for a weekend.
  13. Let's hope that's true. I have a pair on order including one that I know operated less than 500m from the house. I think it'd be very apt with Hatton's closing down if one of the last acts was a release of one of their own models.
  14. With the full boards, except the river in view, 'Merddin Emrys' with a mixed at Tanyglalsyn.
  15. You know the modelling is first class when you don't need a train in the photo for it to look real!
  16. Well thankyou very much. I really just meant that I've put quite a few up in 2 or 3 days that was all.
  17. At risk of putting too many photos in this topic in a short space of time, here's 590 powering through Tanyglaslyn. Colour & BW versions.
  18. Fantastic news! I wouldn't have bought it in black but in crimson there's another sale made!
  19. Colour version of this is within the Get Britain Modelling thread, a pair a 10-12-Ds powers through Tanyglaslyn.
  20. A pair of Baldwin 4-6-0's blast through the pass at Tanyglaslyn with a WD train.
  21. A preservation scene with Hunslet 2-4-0STT 'Linda' picking up the glint arriving at Tanyglaslyn above the slate workers cottages.
  22. Having called at Tanyglaslyn the oil fired Hunslet 2-4-0 'Linda' powers away having passed through the short tunnel and is now on the ledge above the river.
  23. A care-worn Double Fairlie 'Livingston Thompson' works an empty rake of 2 and 3 T FR slate wagons through Tanyglaslyn.
  24. Headline on Tuesday... "Hornby enters 009 with Darjeeling B"... think that's sadly a fantasy. 😂
