  1. Have you found any tiebars that look good that would work with 4-sf? Or is the copperclad strip the best way?
  2. Brilliant cheers, Doesn't seem too difficult from what I saw, But I guess you gotta know what your doing.
  3. Would be cool to have some form of basic tutorial maybe? How to create say a simple brick face ready for cutting or something. Anyway not used Qcad before but I shall give it a look
  4. Me too as i'm wanting to start a business, I don't even want to think about the capital needed to be raised though :S
  5. Tempting but I don't have the funds atm, neither am I at that stage or have any experience with cad lol. Does look a nice tool for creating thin awkward bits though
  6. Good to know, I have the money set aside for either this or the Z21, Just taking my time to decide which one will work best for what I want
  7. That made me laugh, I don't know why as it was terrible but still
  8. Very nice, I really must get a move on with mine but I suffer from the same bone idleness sometimes lol
  9. Don't blame you with such a small layout. Actually trackplan wise it looks just like my P4 shunting plank that I have just sat around! I've decided to go with oo-sf for the loft layout though due to the shape not being ideal for P4 and I think it's better to start with something smaller like this
  10. Interesting to know that the ztc works well with the Z21. I really like the system but It would be nice to have a physical controller too for the ability to control trains through that
  11. Anyone know of any videos showing the use of this yet? Seems really cheap and would be interesting to see how responsive it is and how everything works on it
  12. Oh that doesn't sound good. Couldn't you have used the modelu ones? might save a little stress?
  13. Thanks, I will keep them in mind
  14. Thanks very much I might just look into getting this system, Once iv'e planned out how im going to do my bus's and which components to use
  15. Out of interest, if you change points or switch an accessory etc on one tablet, does it quickly update all other tablets to shown it switched?
  16. Thanks Alan, That was my worry really. I am torn between this or the ECoS but I will also be using train controller, However I will want to take control of the trains on a fair number of occasions That's a good idea, Could easily get quite expensive though!
  17. Does anyone run a larger layout with the Z21? I am wondering how the control is with operating points etc with having to swipe between multiples pages?
  18. Wonderful, I had never really thought much about laying the sleepers and ballasting before glueing the chairs with the rail on, Looks like it might make things abit easier, Although how do you make sure the sleepers are in the correct place? Do you just glue the templot plan down and leave it buried underneath everything? Cheers
  19. I know the feeling with the painting! I have been doing the same, however it was for my railway room so I guess it was worth it. Nice bit of woodwork, I look forward to seeing more
  20. I will be interested to hear peoples views on this controller as and when they get their hands on it
  21. Excellent as always! I look forward to following your next project whatever it may be
  22. Bloody brilliant as always! The light is much better in those most recent shots! Love the pointwork in pic 5 (still trying to figure out how to bend those darn ambis tiebars)
  23. This is why I am going down the 4-sf route (copperclad for fiddle yard and functional chairs for scenics) I will build the points in the same way as Gordon S has done, just for the common crossing part and the rest at oo gauge (which should allow for some tighter hidden curves) Just got to wait for C&L to get some more gauges in stock now
  24. Ah Thanks, Just using an e-link atm as a cheap controller until I get further along with developments. I will have a look at the settings. Cheers
  25. I have done the same, I'm just as impressed by it all, Can't wait to get the layout operational to enjoy it properly. One thing I have noticed though, when I put the tail lights on, in the manual it say's that it's supposed to "latch" on but when I turn them on, they turn off a few seconds later? Maybe I just need to look into the cv's or something (i'm quite new to dcc)
