has had one of those annoying drones land in the garden. Whoever had the temerity to fly it here ain't getting it back - there's four useful coreless motors, gearsets, LEDs, etc. in there. All perfect for modelling....

Air Navigation Order states an unmanned aircraft must never be flown beyond the normal unaided "line of sight" of the person operating it - this is generally measured as 500m (1,640ft)horizontally or 400ft (122m) vertically and For commercial purposes, operators must have permission to fly a drone from the CAA. Looks like at least of those is a fail given they haven't turned up yet!
