Local timber merchants are a tad pricey and do not offer to cut the wood locally unless I drive down to Lincoln and find a way to fit the boards in my small Fiesta. Any suggestions for cheap baseboards?

The Met Office has issued a national alert for Yellow Snow. No, really, most of the UK is going to be covered in Yellow Snow https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings#?date=2017-12-10

Can't see Railtec Tranfers lasting long if they don't even answer emails, hey ho back to Fox then

Having run my own business and been deluged with calls and emails from people demanding urgent answers who never actually buy anything I'd suggest being patient. Last time I looked they aren't the size of Tesco and probably don't have a dedicated comms team to answer every query. The time taken to respond costs far more than the margin on one set of transfers.

Am I the only one who thinks the Bachmann Mk1 BG and GUV are over priced compared to replica and limby ones, especially when the 80s BR modeller still would have to alter the models?

Just discovered that I have one of the "Uncirculated" new £1 coins, is it immoral to stick this on eBay for the silly prices people are asking then spend the profits on trains without telling the misses??

just a heads up on facebook there is someone claiming to be from Love productions [the people who make great British bake-off] posting in model railway groups wanting to enlist modellers in a project to build the worlds biggest model railway for TV, it makes no sense so you'll most likely spot it, no idea what their end goal is

Only a day left to moan about fireworks, then we can get on with the important business of moaning about Christmas being too early

Gutted - sat trip cancelled on Settle & Carlisle due to West Coast Railways poor safety record!

More garbage from head office: we've just had a rebuke for not referring to staff as either "colleagues" or in the numbers sense as "headcount". I often wonder if this kind of thing is something our underemployed and overstaffed desk jockeys dream up to bolster their Linkedin achievements/lies section.
