Perhaps these details are also in the movie. I don't remember.
Given that the USA was still a non belligerent until Dec 7th 1941, it might come as surprise to read that HMS Illustrious was under repair at Norfolk Navy Yard from May 12th 1941. HMS Rodney was carrying material for repairs in Boston, when she was rerouted to hunt Bismarck.

Re fish, on a visit to Tewkesbury I watched a fisherman return a young pike. I didn't have the wit to use the camera at that point.
This morning I watched a kestrel trying to catch apples from a tree in The Avon Gorge.

Have been watching kestrels near Clifton Suspension Bridge over the last 2 weeks. Five birds have fledged and have been sitting on rock outcrops close to the path at the top of the hill.
