I once saw some poor, benighted Orc wearing a tshirt saying "Middle Earth is Hobbit-Forming"...
Tolkien is hobbit forming.

Isn't that covered in #1478 ?
Thanks for that and thanks to Geoff E as well.

Does anyone know when a Class 800 is setting off on Monday from London to Bristol?

ITV have now added a video clip. Someone might recognise the guy. He forgot to cover his face.

I saw the photo on Twitter.

Noticed a photo from October 1929 of 4074 Caldicot Castle stopped at Totnes Station with a train with two 14 inch guns from the Chilean battleship Almirante Latorre. A LMS 9 planked wagon is between the tender and the first gun. It was posted by Totnes Image Bank.

Someone getting the excuses in early.
Make of it what you will.

This is a link to the NAO report, rather than the re-cycled press release from BBC.

Not sure that assertion about reality of non existent critical path planning is accurate prior to the work. But make of it what you will.

No to all of the above. It's a retooled Railroad B17 "Liverpool" with new chassis / loco drive folks.
Imagine my dismay to discover that it isn't streamlined after all.

As posted by Britain's Vilest Troll on Twitter a few minutes ago. An outdoor porn scene for the railway.

Do Hornby own the moulds? If there is uncertainty over ownership, a potential buyout or takeover could become unstuck very quickly.
-
Small factories are indeed being closed in some places in China for air pollution reasons but I don't think Hornby is in that category, and as you say labour costs are indeed rising, but Hornby have known this and planned for it..
With shares at under 30p it could mean a trading halt or perhaps a buy-out ... does anyone know the nature of conditions where trading is commonly halted?
Running out of cash.
A profitable company can still go out of business, if it runs out of working capital or cash.
-
Before the calls for the nationalisation of Hornby plc, this wonderful coverage in The Daily Mirror highlights lazy journalism at its worst.

Must be 50 years since that Castle Class Third Rail Hornby Dublo model appeared in the shops.
